My son did not have an appointment and needed a haircut. Michael Gaither worked him in and the service was fast and professional. He also shared words of wisdom to my son. The atmosphere was incredibly clean and the entire staff was hospitable and friendly at The Magic Touch. They made us feel like we were at home!
Let me start this post with a business is only as professional as the owner of that business. I tend to frequent my fellow black owned business to show support. (Not this one anymore!!!) I have the BEST hair stylist Jassmine who I will continue to use just not at this establishment. I have been with her for years and I will continue. I sent the owner Mike a message about the lack of upkept the cleaning crew had been doing. (I was 1st appt today) There was urine in the toilet, old trash in the cans and gnats flying around. I hoped to speak with him about those things. Instead he became loud, defensive, calling me petty, and a Bi$th and telling me to leave. I sat calmly while he did all this until he got in my face. I asked him if he really wanted to speak to a client that way. He didn't care. So I called all of the ladies that I have sent to this business let them know what happened and they too no longer will be putting money into Mike's pockets. I hope this helps him see that being professional and a gentleman gets you a lot more than being rude, vulgar and a poor business owner. (I have video if anyone wants to see how he acted).
Great Atmosphere to have Hair Care Needs met not only by Barber, but Professional Salon Stylist as well! Very Knowledgeable and Clean Environment.
My husband got a haircut there this morning and chose a barber named Ked who did an amazing job! We highly recommend Magic Touch Barber Shop.
Great hair cut for Black men on the South Side of Winston. On Fridays, you don't need an appointment. Just walk in. It's awesome!
