Booked a table for 2 at 6pm...we went at 5:30 and was told we could go to our table straight away, no bother at all. We had pizza and pasta and it was absolutely beautiful!!! The staff were very attentive, welcoming and went above and beyond!!

Cannot fault a single thing!
The food is always incredible, authentic and full of flavour. I don’t even need to ask for a dish, I just tell the owner I’m a vegetarian and he takes care of the rest. Two occasions I’ve done the same, the first we received a creamy, rich white sauce pasta full of vegetables and I thought it couldn’t get better than that. The second time I did the same, asked for a veggie dish, and received an exquisite tomato pasta, creamy and delicious. Also not a huge fan of cheese on my pizzas so asked for a tomato garlic bread both times and it did not disappoint, the best pizza dough I’ve tasted. I have dreams about this food, it’s so good! I have recommended The Mad Italian to so many people, it’s my favourite Italian place EVER.
First time menus unusual but omg the polo chicken was cooked to perfection the sauce was amazing so so tasty, the lobster ravioli was delicious too the giant prawn was a challenge but tasty staff were very helpful friendly no hassle worth waiting for will definitely come again that meal was unbelievable
Charming little place. Left very well fed, sadly was not drinking wine but my friend was recommended a beautiful red.
The food was brilliant we as a family really enjoyed our meal was our first time here and the chief was very welcoming and the rest of the staff was spot on!
First visit here and didn't disappoint,the food is top class and the staff are very welcoming. We shared a brushcetta and then ordered steak and chips and a beef stroganoff. Both were outstanding, in fact probably the best steak I've ever had. All washed down with lovely wine and ice cold beer. Was looked after very well by the lovely lady at the front of the restaurant.
Great little venue. Atmosphere and service were spot on. Nice selection of wines as well. If you like Italian food you will struggle to find a place more authentic in the area.
Visited here for the first time and had the lunchtime special menu of pizza or pasta, and a drink. I had the Parma ham pizza which was absolutely delicious, and a very palatable glass of red wine. £10 in total. Excellent value and I’ll definitely go again. Highly recommended!
