I could not rate this place any higher, I would give more stars if I could.
One of the best parts about Lydgate is the staff, they are always so friendly and welcoming. I have only been in for coffee and cake but have thoroughly enjoyed both. The prices are really reasonable and the cake was delicious.
I will definitely be a returning customer and would recommend this lovely place to anyone????
Wow....perfectly cooked food. Sunday roast with tender beef and fresh vegetables. Very generous portions. Apple crumble and custard delicious. Home made baking and carrot cake WOW!!!!!!
We had beautiful rost beef and chicken dinner with lovely veg. lovely carrot and coffee after.

Great food and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Keep an eye out for events put on like quizzes etc. Good bar stock as well from Estrella on tap to local beers from vocation. Always looking after their customers with a smile.

My husband and I went to the Lydgate this evening and enjoyed a lovely antipasto platter, nachos and a bottle of prosecco. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the service, atmosphere is really lovely. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful tasty food excellent service very friendly management very welcoming definitely visiting again.
Great café bar in Hipperholme, just when in to pass a bit of time and were not disappointed! Friendly service and reasonably priced. The Lydgate is also dog-friendly, so we will be adding it to our weekend dog walking route.
