Best KPortal Reviews
I just recently tried this restaurant and it is absolutely phenomenal the menu selection is quite unique they offer dishes such as turkey dinner which is pictured above which features a very large portion of turkey gravy stuffing green beans sweet potato cranberry sauce and of course there's a basket of rolls brought to the table I also saw other items like Reuben sandwiches shepherd's pie among many other selections their choice of desserts was off the chain the dinner meal even includes a black and white cookie or New York style plain cheesecake for dessert ❤️????
The service was excellent there was lots of artwork to look at on the walls the restrooms were clean there was plenty of disability parking and I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're thinking about going to a nice place my entire meal including desert and drink was about$ 25.00total plus tip???? I had the turkey dinner featured in the picture desert included.. and of course the drink was separate. Everything was delicious ???????????? they have a customer for life with me for sure ????????
Delicious as usual. All my out-of-town guests who I've taken there previously always want to go back to Lucky Dill when they visit again. The only thing I could say something negative about is their Italian dinners. But everything else I've eaten has been delicious. Service is always good. Always a basket of delicious rolls to start with. If you order a meal or sandwich and a drink, (soda included) you get a free dessert to end your meal. I usually take that home as well as at least half my sandwich because the sandwiches are so large.
The food was good - we made the mistake of going in the morning to order sandwiches to take to the beach from their take out side and were told they only make breakfast orders before 11 am, no deli or lunch items. We regrouped and ordered breakfast sandwiches to go. After a slow ordering process and young workers that were busy cutting cakes and getting everything ready for the morning, we were told the wait would be 20 minutes (which was actually a little more) it was frustrating, we would have been better off to just sit down and eat. We’ll give this one another try at another time.
Cute place with lots of character, food was good …. Use their take out side for the bakery items you want! Not for a quick pick up!!
Best sandwich I’ve had anywhere and best cheese sticks I’ve had anywhere as well!! Both are HUGE and delicious!! We will definitely be back!!
UPDATE: I wanted to do a follow up review to my last one which was only 18 days ago!
On Thursday March 7, 2024, my husband and I decided to come eat dinner again as we were in the area.
We arrived at 3:35pm and were seated in the section nearest the bakery which I thought was pretty cool since we’ve never eaten on this side. Well, a few things we encountered: 1. The server took forever to come to the table, 2. The menu is now 11 x 17 paper with a total of 4 sides which we honestly thought was a lunch menu and 3. It was very hot. After waiting until around 4pm we took our menus and silverware back to hostess desk to see if we can be seated somewhere else. She wanted to resist at first then proceeded to sit us somewhere else – at that point we could have just walked out. But we chose to stay and eat here. At that point a waiter walked over and said he was sorry that he didn’t come over sooner, he was working on cashing out a customer! Either way it was too hot, and we were moved.
Tim was now our waiter. Within minutes of sitting, we had our drinks and rolls. I had mentioned to him the issues we had last time. He made sure these were corrected this visit.
Dinner came out and everything was good. No complaints about the food or service until…the bill arrived.
They now “ADD 3% service fee” to every check. I asked him why and he said it was due to rising food costs for the restaurant and to keep prices down! Umm how is that keeping prices down. I did ask to see where it was on the menu and lo and behold it was there in very small print under the appetizers. I enlarged my photo for sharing. So that was a bad taste left. When a couple arrived at the next table we got to talking and he said the same thing that half the items are not on the menu anymore. When we mentioned that they charge the 3% they too were shocked, and the woman asked where it was on the menu, and I had to show here. She said the same thing – Any smaller!
Sneaky things like this are going to have you losing business. You’ve definitely lost mine. It’s too far a drive over an hour. I also understand they may be under new owners – not sure.
Sad as this is a staple for most people. I hope it gets better.
Food was amazing. Server a little slow and it wasn't crowded. For only 2 little rolls would have loved more especially the ones with the onions. I see people were offered free cheese cake we weren't offered ???? went Sunday February 18, 2024.
Update: came 3 weeks later and my pastrami is half size ????.
Our waitress was SO slow and didn't know anything except what was showing on her iPad.

Good food, reminds me of NYC. Great pastrami sandwich. Corn beef was plain. Kids loved mac & cheese.
Service was ok. Lunch time pretty busy, hard to find a parking
We came for their legendary Rueben but were too early. The Who’s Hungover was my breakfast choice. It has pastrami, egg and Gouda laced with a caramelized onion jam. It was so delicious it literally brought a tear to my eyes! The side is loaded hash browns. Epic. Our waitress Corrina was excellent, as well. We will try to get back here for the Rueben but if we don’t, I’m still satisfied. Warning: their attached bakery is not for dieters! Amazing! ????
We each had French onion soup with 1/2 Pastrami sandwich. The perfect amount of food. Not too much and not too little. Food was delicious, service was great, atmosphere was good but a bit loud in the restaurant. We can not leave with stopping in the bakery and bringing home some goodies. Great job!
