Lovely place with very nice food in big portions. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Would recommend. The red velvet cake was so good
Lovely breakfast in Falkland. Staff very kindly put together a vegan breakfast for us which wasn’t actually on the menu. Didn’t sample the cake selection but looked great!
Overall a great Scottish breakfast in a beautiful village with friendly service, would definitely return!
Came in after a walk round Maispie Den. The place is off the main square in a back street but well worth a visit. For a Saturday in January the place was packed . I was lucky to get a table..whilst I enjoyed my meal a few people had to be turned away
The service was friendly..the food and drinks hit the spot whilst not making a huge dent in my pocket. I splashed out and went for the everything in pancake. Absolutely delicious. Worth a look but be warned you may be left disappointed only if you dont get a table
Spotlessly clean with two areas for coffee/ teas and cakes or a meal. No french salad dressing and I waited for around 10 minutes for a waitress to appear so that I could order a cup of tea, I left without the tea but feeling completely satisfied with my home made soup and goats cheese ciabatta toasted sandwich.
A frosty reception on our arrival at just after 2.30. Then chairs started to be placed on tables more than 30 minutes before closing time which is supposedly 4pm. When I asked if they were closing the reply ' Well we're trying ' was exceptionally rude. Regardless of whether it's been a quiet day and the cleaning is still to be done you should be grateful for every customer or you'll find you have none and no viable business. The one star is for the coffee. I'll not be back as there's nicer places in Falkland more deserving of my custom
