I arrived with super frizzy hair that I could not get rid of and left looking like I have been taking good care of my curls for ages! Shawnette was so nice and knowledgeable and she provided the education I needed to properly care for my curls at home. Now I have a better understanding of my own hair and hair care in general. I'm definitely going back quarterly and would totally recommend doing their VIP treatment to anyone starting their curly hair journey. I wish I had found them sooner! I admit it was a bit pricey but it was worth every penny!

Had my first appointment there with Selina and she was AMAZING!! She was so caring and attentive. I’m new to my short curly haired journey and she was asking all these questions I wasn’t sure about and she took the time to explain EVERYTHING. I was the last appointment of the day and she made sure to take the time to ensure I was comfortable with my hair cut and style. This will be the ONLY place I get my hair cut from now on

I saw Sharita, the owner of The Loft. She did a great job, adding both volume and definition to my curls. She talked me through each step in the products she was using and the technique in styling my hair. Definitely recommend an appointment with her!

I am writing to explain the disappointment I have in this curly shop. They do the best hair and I have been coming for over a year and a half. I have recommended so many people to come here, I have also had both my mother and sister come here. I booked with a stylist that I have been with this whole time I have come and she did a no show. I was able to be fit in by another stylist which was very nice of her, but did not help with my utter disappointment. I have been a loyal customer and I was supposed to have my hair styled and dyed for a huge occasion the next day which was not able to be done by the stylist that fit me in. I was not able to get refunded for wasting my time to come to not get my hair dyed because it was not within the appointment because the stylist told me she would put the color part in the day I come and not to worry. I am extremely disappointed and so upset to say I will never recommend this place to another soul even though they do such amazing work. Being unprofessional and not showing up and fulfilling your clients needs puts a horrible taste in my mouth. The manager was able to refund me the full price. So so disappointed and will never ever come back here. I will never waste a commute of an hour from Massachusetts to come to East Providence to not get the service I was scheduled for. Now I left with an unhappy service and a waste of my gas money there and back.
I had an amazing experience here today with Selina. I was nervous about transitioning from my relaxed hair to my natural curls but Selina made me feel comfortable. She taught me everything I needed to know about maintaining my natural curls at home with her vast knowledge of products and her skillful styling . I will definitely be back and I encourage you to ask for Selina because she has experience with all hair textures and she will have your curls popping by the time you leave this salon !!!!!
