Best KPortal Reviews
*I finally visited*
So I've drove past loads of times and read some of the reviews, and finally after what feels like a year, I've visited.
I went for a takeaway option, flat white coffee ☕ and a bacon and sausage panini ???? - they had a proper barista style coffee machine which excited me, but no milk alternative (no oat or soya milk) so today it was standard milk. It was a nice coffee ☕ ????
The panini size was just right for me, I'm not a huge fan of loads of bread overpowering the meat, so it was perfect. Yes a little more expensive than your local café, but considering where it is located, it's ok/expected (I would say it's heavily overpriced - just a tad more expensive ????)
It looked like just one staff member was working, doing everything, so I imagine when it's busy (there were 3 tables being waited on.in the dining area) you may end up waiting longer than you'd expect. However the lovely lady quickly sorted my sandwich and coffee and I was in and out within 10 minutes.
It all tasted great.
The setting was nice inside, and you can book a table if you want to ensure a spot.
A vast selection on the menu, check out the photos below.
Plenty of parking ????️
A toilet within also, that was clean and tidy.
Accessibility ♿ isn't to bad either, a bit awkward as you navigate through the first couple of doors.
All in a good experience and I look forward to visiting again, and dining in next time.
Thanks for being a great host and accommodating my takeaway order ????????????❤️
I have driven past so many times often thought of calling in. Finally did so and a little disappointed by the cost I’m afraid. 2 bacon panini’s for £15 to take away is a little too hefty for my liking.
Delicious food, went for a Sunday lunch. We were one of the few tables in there. It’s a small place but loved the William Morris feel to the decor. The food was top notch and so was the service. One of my friends also went for breakfast and said her whole family loved it.
I had breakfast here with family and friends, enjoyed the food, service and milkshake. Little building near the road, recently renovated, plenty of parking.
Found this place by chance when in the area. The pictures on Google maps were misleading, but this place is lovely. It's a cosy little spot to enjoy a meal or just a coffee. I will be returning as the service was fabulous.
We were really looking forward to trying The Lodge but sadly not for us. It took a while for our food to arrive which we wouldn't have minded if we could actually eat it. We all had Panninis and could only eat the centre piece the ends were so hard. The sausage in my husbands was also very hard. So sadly we won't be going again.
I asked for 2 Well done bacon tomatoe and mushroom panini when I got home which is literally 5 mins away my bread was really soggy on the bottom and on top the bread was like a brick my bacon was really pale n lots of fat on it for nearly £14 I think it's disgusting
Just thought the coffee was expensive, and so was the menu we looked at.
