Being our first time to visit it was not the greatest. The biggest positive was our serves. Our waitress was very friendly and was on top of her game. My father had the unlimited catfish, which was fantastic. However, the rest of us had the lunch buffet. The food was not very hot. Green beans were like licking a salt bar. Pork was over cooked and dry. Mac and cheese was pland. Best part of my meal was the salad bar. Very disappointed.
The rating should really reflect a (-1) star. We got the all you can eat and only two of the four people ate. We waited 2 whole hours and our food never came, so we ended up getting take out from Golden Corral (awesome)! Additionally, the $40+ bill was discounted to free, rightly so. That was our first and last time eating at (The Local)!
Went for taco Tuesday. Waited and hour for my first drink a d an hour an a half for food. Place was busy but not every table was full. We Ordered as soon as we sat down. Needs a quicker kitchen staff and the waiter should have told us upfront about the wait. Manager would not come out to take our complaint. Taco Tuesday at the local kitchen is a joke.
I have eight here mostly for lunch and then dinner twice. I've never had a bad meal here. In fact they were above average to very good. While the service did take a little longer during dinner as they were more crowded, the service is always been great during the lunch hours. I would definitely recommend eating here.
We are there Sunday night got a table no problem and the server was very nice. We order our I got Cajun Chicken pasta and my boyfriend got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs where hard as a rock and I picked out the 8 meatballs and the server took them back and asked for them to be remade by the time they was done we where done with the rest of the food. She took the spaghetti off our ticket we paid and left but the best part was the little bag of meatballs sent back 8 got 4 back and they tasted like rolled up ground beef balls no flavor so we brought them home and feed them to the cat.
Thanks for the gift certificate! My husband and myself visited last night and our experience was superb! Mackenzie was our server and she went above and beyond to give us the best service we have ever received. She along with serving us was concerned about policy and procedure. She was awesome! #myfavserverever
Off Night for the cooking staff I guess! 10 oz ribeye! It was super thin! I ordered it medium and it was cooked Well! It's almost impossible to cook a thin steak medium! To the owner if your going to offer steaks on your menu I suggest you buy 16oz or above and they be at least a half inch to an inch thick. The quality of the meat was good though! And on to the chicken for 10 bucks we got 6 to 7 boneless chicken fingers in a bowl. First bites where fatty and full of grissel! But Our waitress was super friendly and did a great job! Drinks we here top notch! But the food was not what we expected for the prices! 70 bucks! Should have went to Texas Roadhouse!
Great new place for Owensboro! I had the Kentucky hot brown and it was delicious! It actually had white gravy instead of brown, but it was really good. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their meal. Service was friendly. Nice vibe in the restaurant and it feels good supporting a small business instead of all the franchises in town. I hope this place does well!
