Wow what a find. Superb breakfast this morning. So tasty. Lovely attentive and engaging staff. Great way to start the day.
Oh and the cappuccino is just the best.
The chef here invites customers to build their own breakfast. I had halloumi, avocado, poached eggs, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes and brown toast. It was all cooked to perfection! My husband had a full English and loved it! All served with a smile and two cups of delicious coffee. Will come again next time we are in Selsey. Might try a vegetarian Turkish breakfast next time!
Lovely food, I had the breakfast wow how BIG so worth the price. I also tasted the Turkish Sausage terrific if you like spicy food, Mmm. Will go back here when in Selsey again. Can't fault it...
Lovely little cafe and lovely food. Me my partner and daughter visited yesterday morning for a breakfast before we left the area. My daughter ate quite a lot of her breakfast (she’s very very fussy so I’m happy!) and me and my partner practically finished ours. We had a small breakfast each but it was a very good size, I couldn’t have eaten anything bigger. The waitress was a really lovely young girl, you could tell she was a bit nervous but made sure we had everything we could have needed! The owner (I think she was anyway) was also fab and gave my daughter a lolly as we were leaving :) I’m not sure if it’s a regular thing or if the card machine was broken but make sure you take some cash - sign on the till to say cash only which wasn’t a problem for us.
My fish and chips were over cooked. But the liver and bacon was OK. Server was really friendly.
Very good value, lovely food and a pleasant ambience make this a great place to eat.
We visited on a weekday morning while staying nearby.
The mini breakfast at £4.25 appealed. We also had a mug of Illy coffee each.
The coffee was good and they also had soya milk available.
The mini breakfast was ready in just over ten minutes. It was a lot larger than expected, including sausage, bacon, beans, mushrooms and egg on toast.
Really delicious. I especially loved the mushrooms and bacon.
The café has a pleasant decor, and comfortable seats. It has seating for around thirty inside, plus a garden area, and outside seating in front too.
Table service is available if sitting inside. The staff were friendly and helpful.
There's a unisex customer toilet available, although it didn't look wide enough for a wheelchair user.
The café is fully accessible and finding suitable seating for a wheelchair user shouldn't be a problem.
Apart from breakfast, they do main meals, cakes, sandwiches and burgers among the many choices. Take away is available on many items.
We paid a total of £12.30, which is one of the best value breakfasts we've had. Note they take cash only, no cards.
Whatever you fancy, The Local Café is well worth trying.
Always lovely food at a reasonable price. Staff are friendly and take pride in what they do.
Great service, nice menu and a lovely sandwich. 5 stars
