Stayed in the Llew Bach. Truly a hidden gem in the N Wales countryside. Well appointed little bolthole and perfect escape from the bustle. Food in the Lion was excellent, we could not fault our stay. No mobile reception and no Wi-Fi in the Llew Bach. Bliss.
I’m not sure where the negative reviews have come from or if the pub has changed owners since they were written?|We had a lovely experience at the lion in. We stayed at the cottage next door literally about 20 steps away and visited the pub for dinner one night. The home made pizzas are delicious ???? the couple running the pub were both very friendly and chatty and even invited us back for the pub quiz the next day which unfortunately we could not make. The other customers were also super friendly.|They had a range of board games which we sat by the fire and played and it was lovely! We would definitely go back ????
Lovely fire and feel to the pub. Interesting history. Great service and fantastic food. Highly recommend
We went last Saturday with David's sister and brother in law and were delighted! The building is as beautiful as ever but the welcome was so warm for us and our 2 dogs we felt like old friends. The food was home cooked and delicious, no problem making me a vegan pizza and coleslaw and the others really enjoyed their soups, quiche and sandwiches.
A Cozy friendly pub. Excellent home cooked food. Good Vegetarian options. (those with special dietary needs catered for) . Great options for a lighter lunch (soup and cakes) or mix and match to have a yummy 3 course meal. Real fire and friendly, helpful hosts. Looking forward to our next visit already !
Old style pub ,great food ,cosy atmosphere and a real fire
This is a lovely pub, in a wonderful location, with a great community feel. The owner’s extended a warm welcome and the locals we met were very friendly-well worth the trip!
What a gem of a find! We happened to drive past this beautiful pub so decided to pop in for a drink (which turned into a few!). It was the new owners opening weekend and what a welcome we received! Lovely lovely people, good variety of drinks (reasonably priced) and facilities were all spotless! We will be back! (And look forward to trying your food when we do!). We have already booked into the little Welsh snug air b&b that is next door! x
