Let me start by saying I've eaten there a handful of times before the new owners took over in September 2023.
It used to be a great place to get a good juicy, hand grilled burger. But the first and last time my boyfriend and I went after the new owners took over, we were extremely disappointed.
The tots were soggy with grease, and the serving size was not worth what I paid.
The burger was very bland. I tasted all the toppings before I got a hint of meat flavor.
Also, the burger patties used are not hand made, they are frozen premade patties like what you'd get at walmart in the big box. It was 52 dollars for the hog head burger (way overpriced, $16 bucks it was bland and small), a regular cheeseburger, 2 servings of tots, 2 shakes and an additional side.
I was really hoping to see this restaurant do great, but the food was the equivalent of something I'd throw together at home real quick. My tater tots taste better in my air fryer than the ones we had at Lighthouse.
The only thing I'd go back there for now, is the shakes.
Enjoyed the "old school" walk up and order experience and eat in the car. Good food made fresh. Fast service.
If you are traveling Hwy 71 through Wickes,Ar. Then be sure and stop at this hometown drive in. The burgers are awesome. Very friendly service.
Very cool burger stop with so much more than burgers... was a good choice.
Really good food, icecream is some of the best. Prices are very high, so definitely only an "every-so-often" place to go.
One of the workers had a baby in a chair thing feeding it, on the counter right next to where she was bagging food for another customer, that was kind of gross...
WOW! My husband and I stopped for cheeseburgers which were a carnivore’s delight. Thick homemade patties cooked to perfection…so I can’t address the other menu items but we will most certainly be back. Great service too.
Love this restaurant. If you're in the Wickes area or driving through, plan on stopping here for lunch or dinner. It's awesome food and great people!
I was disappointed.
My bill was $26 for my wife and I. I paid the lady $30 told her keep the change and we waited 10mins or so for our food.
I ordered a burger (it was good) but was not informed it didn't come with fries ($10).
My wife ordered the shrimp basket, it had 10 fried shrimp as expected but the fries (all 9 of them) were disappointing to say the least.
2 small malts were good (what we came for).
1st time back since new owners took over.
Sadly we probably won't be back again due to value for our $.
