I walked past this disgusting salon and didn’t even notice it, I think too highly of myself to live in Detroit or in the downtown with it surrounded by rotting houses. I grew up in a very nice safe clean places with quiet pleasant, people. I just happened to be there this time. I went on TikTok, and I noticed these strange men that work here were making fun of me on the internet? Do not go to this salon, it is ghetto and this behavior is really ratchet. Go somewhere more expensive because you really get what you pay for. It seems very crowded and hot in there too and the workers must be at least 100 by now if it’s been open “since the 90s”. This dirty establishment has been reported to the FBI for their actions. Migra migra anyone?
I’ve been a resident of the downtown area for about 2yrs now. I’ve always been interested in the beauty salon so on my lunch while walking my dog I finally had time to inquire. First poor business decision is keeping the doors locked while the business is operating. We are downtown Detroit not the westside there’s no need for a door to be locked. It’s discouraging to new customers & unprofessional. Once the lady came to unlock the door she was blocking my way in. When I asked may I come in because it’s 36 degrees outside to inquire on a service she declined me stating “not with that dog”. I gladly walked away and wouldn’t spend a dime somewhere where I can’t inquire a question without going through security & denying my service dog access. So I gladly went around the corner to Salon 6 where the door wasn’t locked, staff very friendly & allowed me to come in for the few minutes I needed to inquire on a service. The last tangle needs to get it together. Definitely running the business on the stereotype that’s already given on blacked owned businesses. I’m very disappointed and feel bad for the people who pays booth rent in there because it was a braider inside working that I wanted to inquire a service on and she just missed out on a service.
This was my first visit to this salon and I was very nervous but had absolutely no reason to be. The salon itself is nice, cozy, clean and extremely well sanitized. But the best feature was my stylist Veronica. She did an AWESOME job with my hair. I hsve not been this happy with a hair appointment in years. I will definitely be back to see Veronica.
“I had a great experience at this salon. I notice that my end was bad and my hair was breaking. So, I did a little research and came across the last tangle. The stylist "Ms. Dee” was very friendly and professional, and she did an amazing job on my hair. I have a lot less breakage.
Nice little salon downtown detroit. I don't go to the hair salon often but when I do I go to Veronica for my wash, deep conditioning treatment, trim, and blow dry. Her hair washes are sooo relaxing and feel so good. She is also gentle, understanding and friendly to her clients. My hair loves her!
Con: no parking unless you find on street (good luck) or pay fee for lot directly across . I usually have to park around the corner and walk if no spaces available.
the man Marcus is wonderful he did my hair beautiful but it's this older lady that works in ther with orange hair is very rude and disrespectful she threw the mask at me slammed the door in my face and this was my very first time there. but the devil can't get me like that and Marcus made my hair beautiful
I went here to get my hair done for my birthday. I saw Marcus and he did a wonderful job. Everything was very affordable. I got to retwist line up shave. Highly recommend
Communication and Scheduling is horrible and not professional. Marcus has online scheduling system that is meaningless. He doesn’t leave time in between appointments to consider taking longer than expected. He wants to to call before the scheduled appointment and then pushes you off and even makes you wait for 30 minutes sitting outside. When the barber is running behind it's ok but when you don't call before coming 20 minutes ahead of time to reconfirm an already confirmed appointment you get canceled!
