The food was cold and appalling. Pale cold translucent bacon. Runny but congealed egg even though Asked for everything well cooked !! Cold tinned tomatoes. Toast arrived after the finishing meal. Drink just about warm. Lots of nice beans but we're cold. Drafty and cold.
Been twice in the past six months and have to say I’ve been disappointed on both occasions. Service is ok orders taken swiftly but that’s when things start to disappoint. It’s a fairly simple menu on offer so would expect that an order for soup and a sandwich would be filled reasonably quickly. The cafe was busy but not to the point that every table was taken and there appeared to be adequate numbers of staff. After waiting over half an hour I asked if I could pay for my drink and forget the food order. At that point the kitchen called out our table number and we decided to stay. However we were informed that the soup we ordered had run out and were offered an alternative and the sandwich came on white bread when brown was ordered. Staff were apologetic but I think I’ll be trying alternative hostelries in the future.
Went in for a Sunday brunch, French toast with bacon and maple syrup. Lovely dish, perfectly cooked, good portion. Great selection on the menu, fab coffee, friendly nice atmosphere. Just wish they did pancakes too.
Absolutely brilliant,staff very helpful and nothing is a problem. Good is fresh cakes and scones etc baked daily
Great cafe with indoor and outdoor table areas catering for dog walkers also.
Staff bought out water for the 3 dogs and dog biscuits. Eventually they all came out to see the ???? ???? ???? dogs.
Food was excellent. Good portion sizes. Great display of cakes also.
Parking not a problem and is free opposite the cafe.
Had a large quiche salad.
The quiche was a very small slice stale slice & and the salad was just what seemed to be a full iceberg lettuce, finely chopped , two slices of tomatoe & cucumber& a sprinkling of sweetcorn... my friend had a ham toasty made with cheap ham..For the price he thought it would be hand carved ?Wouldn't hurry back..Maybe Friday isn't a good day to eat here?
Delicious! I asked if I could order a sandwich to take away. No problem. Ordered a chilli chicken panini. Arrived in a box with a fresh salad! Topped off with a Sparkling Raspberry cold drink!

Congratulations to Lisa in what she has achieved in the short time since taking over. Lovely bright atmosphere, comfortably spaced tables, super clean, attentive staff & prompt service. Lovely lunch, will be back! ????
