Best KPortal Reviews

I paid for the sausage sourdough roll and it wasn't sourdough roll, it was the part baked crusty roll. Delicious but wouldn't pay 6 and a half quid if I knew in advance.
Plus the gentleman who was at the till was moving directly into handling the food without washing his hands.
And to be ???? fair, lovely cafe hence the 5 stars for atmosphere and the staff are generally polite and helpful.
I hope my review will not be seen as a dig but I sincerely hope these areas are addressed as it's a treasured place.
The kingfisher Kitchen is a lovely big restaurant with plenty of seating both inside and out for all its customers....It has a good selection on the menu of both hot and cold food...It is a light and airy setting with nice views over the park....The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, delivering a excellent service.....
It’s a shame that this café isn’t what it once was, still pleasant and the food is fine if not great. Some items appeared to not be on the menu which created confusion. It’s quite expensive for what you get and the selection isn’t massive though I think the availability of what there is is fair enough, good range of cakes which are good but not brilliant. The real shame is the cleanliness of the cutlery and plates. Of the plates stacked by the cakes onto which you serve yourselves almost all of them were sticky and had marks on, furthermore the ramekins into which you could serve yourself condiments also had bits still on them, were sometimes greasy and were also stacked whilst still very wet, all of these are resolvable by spending just a little more time checking whilst pot washing so it’s a shame it happened.
Lovely Coffee
Modern looks and kept clean
Plenty of staff to hand on a Saturday
Plenty of space with outdoor seating with views of the Flamingo
The food is ok with what I had. It is fairly expensive in my opinion. If you compare to quality and quantity. These type of places are similar in cost anyhow.
The cake selection is good and the price reflects that.
Waiting time wasn't too bad with how busy it was.
Overall a pleasant experience. We have been there a few times with pretty much the same experience.
I remember the Kingfisher Cafe being rather good quality but sadly this no longer seems to be the case. Although they have great quality cakes, other aspects seem to have failed recently.
Today, we ordered a coffee and hot chocolate. After we received the drinks, they were stone cold. Not sure how this happened but it certainly isn’t good. Although the staff quickly sorted this out, the second coffee still was lukewarm at best.
Sadly the staff also didn’t seem very pleased to be serving. It’s sad to see a cafe at a popular nature reserve not living up to high standards.
We had the most lovely experience here, the service was premier because I have never met a manager like Greg, he has a special touch and really cares about the customers and he made our day special. I saw him doing every kind of job to made sure everything
ran smoothly. The rest of the team were great also.
The food was very delicious and fresh, I ordered yesterday fish & chips and my friends ordered pizzas. ????????
Very clean and safe.
We will definitely can back again ????
Food was ok but literally the slowest queue and the longest wait ever for a toastie. Bought because wanted something quick and arrived 30 minutes after the rest of us had finished eating
Nice cafe to grab a bite while visiting the sanctuary. Prices are reasonable with soup and a roll being £5. The soup was home made by the taste of it and filling. Kids meals about a fiver as well and my daughter at 5 was full up afterwards. Father in law claimed the coffee was also very good.
