Best KPortal Reviews

First time for the two of us at the Jug Handle Inn. Amazing wings! The wings are fried with an excellent crunch and flavor outside, moist and delicious inside, using just the right amount of sauce. Excellent! Tried traditional buffalo and Tony Bruno. Had the Tots with cheese and bacon which were ok. Went on a Friday at 7:30pm, got a table for two without a wait. Crowd and music were all good. Will absolutely go back when in town again.
Got a chance to check out the Jug Handle with my buddies Eric and Aaron. I've heard many people have many different opinions of this spot so I knew I had to go and find out for myself. Got some Carolina Buffalo BBQ wings, some Tony Bruno wings, and a side of the Bald Eagle (their spiciest sauce) sauce on the side to dip into. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The dining room was pretty much just a basic bar/restaurant dining room but they do have outdoor seating during nice weather and a basement seating area as well.
The Tony Bruno wings are a blend of Honey BBQ and Medium garlic so they are very similar to a Mchales/Buffacue sauce with some added garlic flavor. I knew I'd enjoy this sauce just from the description. The wings were massive and they were breaded wings. They were crunchy for breaded wings (I often find breaded wings to get soggy in sauce and not have much crunch) and I enjoyed these, but I will say that I do honestly prefer a smaller wing...even if that sounds crazy. Smaller wings in my opinion are able to have a nice crunch in each bite and the center of the wing cooks to a nicer consistency than when they are very large.
The Carolina Buffalo BBQ was interesting and not exactly what I expected. I did find these to have good flavor but I was kind of expecting a Carolina mustard and hot sauce blend and it was more of a BBQ/buffalo which made it similar in flavor minus the honey to the Tony Bruno. They looked as though they'd have a mustard flavor but it got lost in the other flavors of this sauce. I don't think I personally would get this flavor again just for that reason, but I didn't dislike them.
The Bald Eagle is hot. There's really all there is to that. It smelled like straight super hots and it tasted like super hots. That is where my time with the Bald Eagle starts and ends haha.
Price was a bit more than I expected but wings these days are through the roof anywhere you go. The Jug Handle Inn - Didn't Suck!

We've heard about them and I think I've seen their billboard several times whenever I drive through. We were in the area and figured it's a good time to give them a shot.
They have some really really good wings! I got just dry wings cuz I wanted to try more than just 1 flavor, so I got the mango habanero and their sauce of the month (slipped my mind unfortunately, maybe called Kapow?). So, if you want to try more than 1 flavor I suggest doing what the server suggested and getting dry wings with sauces on the side. My fiance got all teriyaki flaked wings. We also got the corned beef egg rolls, these came out hot and fresh, really good too.
They have a pretty large drink selection from what I seen on their online menu. I got a sour so they get bonus points from me cuz you can't always get a good sour.
Also, the staff were friendly and helpful.
The music playing I also enjoyed as it sounded like a variety of music from what I recall. The music was also not so loud you couldn't hear each other talk.
Have been here a few times now. Wings are big, you get 10 per order, and they are prepared fresh. They are in a bowl, so sauce collects at the bottom-dunk em if you need more sauce. Incredibly crispy but not dried out. Staff is friendly and a great, old school neighborhood bar vibe. Highly recommended.
This place is valid. Nacho supreme is a great choice. Wings were okay for me but I know friends that love them
All I tried was the wings and that’s all you need. Some of the best I’ve ever had.
Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Each flavor was coated nicely with great slices and sauces that complimented the chicken perfectly. The Carolina Buffalo BBQ were out of this world but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Ill be back to try more.
I placed an order with them through DoorDash just now, and the food was absolutely atrocious. My Reuben was extremely burnt to the point it was inedible, and the chips that came with it were stale. My boyfriend’s cheesesteak had no cheese, no onions, and meat was burnt and the roll was stale, again along with the chips that came with. My boyfriend called them to explain the problem and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came on, my boyfriend was very polite and respectful and not trying to get anything back from them, and the manager HUNG UP ON HIM before he could even give any details about the food and our experience. My two star DoorDash review I left was way too high considering how terrible the food was and how awful we were treated. I am not someone that complains about every little thing, I have worked in the service industry most of my life and I don’t leave one star reviews lightly. I am astounded by how rude the restaurant manager was to hang up on us when we were just trying to make them aware that there’s a big problem with their food. Clearly they don’t care about their reputation, quality of their food, or customer service. There are so many other great local restaurants you can support with your money, don’t spend it here.
Big and fat wings! Mild sauce was mostly oil and some hot sauce. Tony Bruno sauce is garlic and BBQ to a 'T'. Seasonal eggrolls were huge and super unique! Bartender was very cool! It's extremely busy for a small place, so bring some patience. Very tight spot, but they have roaming chickens outside! ???? Will be back for more famous cheese balls!
