Love this place! So many different options to choose from. The chicken on a stick was tender and juicy. The ribs melt in your mouth. Sushi was delicious as well as all of the other foods we tried. It will definitely be our go to restaurant when we go back to Indianapolis.
Staff was all kind and helpful. Everything was delivered and fresh. Food was hot and constantly being checked and added.
This restaurant is good, but they need to update the interior. Many seats and booths were ripped and stained. The restrooms were horrible.
Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service!!! Irina who seated us was VERY rude when my husband simply asked for a high chair. Then when we were clearly confused as to why she was being so hateful, she asked our party why we are all so rude. I NEVER complain! But, this was all completely unprovoked and uncalled for. We had brought our friends here to eat, a party of 11, and NONE of us will return after such an incident. Kindness goes a LONG way!!! Professionalism goes even farther! For the record, how dare you be so condescending to me when your carpet looks like this!! (See picture below) Way bigger fish to fry than being nasty because we asked you for a high chair!
OMG! I can't believe I havent found this place before. The food is Awesome. The service was exceptional love their different kinds of coconut shrimp. The whole buffet is an awesome experience. Definitely will return to this establishment. Who knows it probably will become my favorite
Went with two friends who highly recommend The Journey. (Though they hadn't been in roughly 18 months.)
I sampled about 12 items. Two items were okay...typical decent Chinese buffet okay. The coconut shrimp and fried wings were outstanding. Unfortunately the rest of what I tried was horrible and the chicken on a stick tasted undercooked. I actually spit out the one bite that I tried.
My friends were equally unimpressed with the food.
Our waitress, Amy, had only been there a week. We liked her.
A very high end buffet, especially for lunch. I'm interested in coming in for dinner. But if you do plan on coming, be mindful that they close between lunch and dinner. It's not an endless buffet for the day. I like that. Keeps the food fresher.
Surprise birthday party. Reserved a room for 20 people. They almost didn't let us in the room because the whole party had not arrived. We needed to decorate for the guest of honor. It was a surprise. When only 10 people showed up, not 20, they almost made us leave that room. Very rude female manager. They also made us take our bagged trash with us. Food was not very flavorful. Not worth the money or 40 minute drive.
I haven't been to The Journey in a few years, but it is as good as I remember!
The coconut shrimp was so good! That is worth the trip alone! Also, the stuffed mushrooms are really tasty! They have a huge selection of foods, and there is something for everyone here. Their dessert options are a little limited, but I did see they had crepes, which I think is pretty cool.
Service was fast and efficient. It wasn't too crowded on a weekday when they first opened either. Lunch price for weekdays is 13.99 each, which I think is a great price considering all the options! Definitely recommend this buffet! ????
