Restaurant has benefited from a decent make over and a simplified menu. Been going to the Aboyne Indian for many years but our meal in the first week of January was one of the finest we’ve ever had. Massive improvement from a few months ago when the food was still great, but the restaurant itself was looking tired. Good to see it back on track.
We really enjoyed our meal here on our short break from Glasgow. Food was delicious and very friendly staff. Chef obviously cares his guests enjoy his creations and popped over for a chat. Would highly recommend.
We ate twice (takeaway) at the India Gate during our recent stay on Deeside. The first occasion - the food was excellent. The second time the food was not up to the same standard, although it was still good.

Slow service on a Saturday night when the restaurant was not busy. The staff were very nice but this did not make up for, the slow service.
The excuse was that they had had a lot in of takeaway Orders But even they had to wait an excessive amount of time.
Food was reasonable when it did arrive but even then it was not very warm.
Had a meal for 15 of us and everyone commented how great the food and service was. The starters were amazing with the tikka cooked to perfection. Thanks for a great evening we will be back
Good food, a birt over priced, gives the impression that the takeaway is more important than seated guests. The apologetic free drink at the end doesnt compensate.
Lovely, clean place. Nice menu, tasty food, good service. Portions were a little on the small side.
Said they was open until 12pm phoned at 11 to make a order for 12 people and told was closed and didn't care what the website said the opening hours was, so on that will never go there again especially being out here in the country might as well cook my own
