The Motorcycle group I belong to has spent many great weekends here and the owners are why. There motto is when your group is here this place is yours. It located right in the middle of some great riding. Has a restaurant on site and is only about 10 minutes from 2 other towns. The rooms are a bit dated but they are clean and comfortable. have fun at the HUB.
Cool place to stay. Very motorcycle friendly. If you are looking for 4 star accommodations, this is not the place. If you are looking to hang out by a campfire and talk motorcycles with a group of like minded individuals, in a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere, this is the place. Great riding all around and really nice folks. The accommodations are dated but clean. But you don't come here for the accommodations. You come for the riding and the friends.
Enjoyed our stay at the HUB. I am recommending this to anyone looking for a good value in the area. I was initially going to stay at an AirBnB in Leslie for $350 for 2 nights and realized that was way too much for a place to sleep. I found The HUB online and made a reservation. We hit a quiet weekend and only about 10 of the 50 rooms were occupied. The place is older, but well maintained and clean.
The restaurant, Scooters, is also a great place to eat. We had dinner there 2 nights. The Prime Rib is excellent.
Nice motorbike orientated place. Good people run the accommodation which is cheap and cheerful. The restaurant is very good and cooks some good old fashioned american food. You can't beat the prime Steak, but book it early or you could miss it.
The Ozarks are a great riding resource and having a bike friendly location smack in the middle of the hills is just perfect.
It's unique, and caters to the motorcycle crowd, which is fun. It's a pretty ride along lovely highways to get there. But, it is down an isolated spur of old highway 7.
It's not a chain hotel, so the rooms are not chain hotel shiny new & clean, which for a price of $90 is a downside. The circular architecture of the building is neat, though.
There is a decent restaurant in the hotel as well.
Make sure to ask at the front desk for directions to sign in at the tour office for the old Dogpatch theme park! It's no longer a working amusement park but the buildings are undergoing preservation and are a fascinating part of Arkansas history. You will need to sign a waiver form to explore, for insurance reasons.
We were supposed to be given an updated room, but it was not at all. The room smelled musty. Wife had to use inhaler at least 3 times during the night. The faucet sprayed water on the mirror and counter and was green around handles where the finish was worn off and the copper corroded. Curtains would not shut all the way in our first floor room giving no privacy. Carpet was stained and worn. Bed is an old spring mattress type which gave feedback very time you moved. Light bulbs missing from lamps. Also they only had 1 key to give each couple. We told them within 10 minutes of check in that we weren't staying more than one night because of the condition of the room and they want more than one nights pay out of 4 days. They say we owe two nights but only will refund one day out of the four so far. Had to get credit card company involved because owner plays games. Room next to ours smelled so bad that couple wouldn't take it. Wife couldn't even enter due to mold smell. One other couple was given a room with just a bed and no other furniture with lamps placed on floor. Then they moved them to a room with broken furniture. Other people in our group had problems also.
Great venue for a personal motorcycle vacation or group rally. Run by a very friendly and helpful motorcycle couple. When you walk out of your room there are always other riders hanging around for a chat. The facility is dated, but well maintained. A little remote if you need to do any shopping.
Love this place. #1 motorcycle hotel around. We always stay here when we go to Arkansas for motorcycle riding. $60-$65 a night. $60 if you stay more than 1 night. Restaurant on site so you can always eat breakfast and dinner here without leaving. Ice chest full of beer, donations accepted and frowned up on if you dont. If not, beer store is a few miles up the road if your a Cheapskate. Deb & Randall are very nice & helpfull people.
