Fabulous food and generous portions, lovely fresh veg and staff were really nice and accommodating, dog friendly and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Don't know why we have never been before! Definitely not a place to miss. We'll be trying the pies next as they looked amazing and huge! Take away is also an option.
Visited the pub last night for the first time was so disappointed one they advertise food and they don't do anymore we were told !! Why advertise it then !!
In side it was dark and dirty all the brass ornaments that were hanging everywhere were covered in dirt not inviting what so ever. Won't be back sad for a local pub you would think they would have more pride ????.
Friendly pub with amazing food would definitely recommend to anyone in the area, luckily due to planning we found out they do not serve food at the beginning of the week but was worth it when we had food at the end of our stay in the area. As dog lovers me and my friend throughly enjoyed a pint and meeting the locals furbabies friendly dogs who love a but of attention.
Lovely, local, family friendly pub. The staff were so nice and accommodating. We went to watch the England match with our two young children which we were unsure about. Well it was fab. Everyone was friendly they have a pond with so many fish and a lovely little garden. We didn't order any food but we loved it here and wouldn't hesitate going back again
Brilliant night good food and good service
Genuinely one of the best pubs we have had the pleasure of visiting in a long time. We have a dog who can be reactive to strangers. The owner (and locals in the pub) took time to make our dog feel safe.
We got pished and our dog had the best time - treats galore! Cant wait to come back!
Just popped in for a pint, was a lovely old fashioned pub with a good choice of drinks and a friendly landlord and locals. Will definitely be back for another drink and possibly Sunday lunch.
We had a lovely Vegetarian Sunday lunch here, really tasty food, staff were really friendly and it was very dog friendly too, thank you.
