Best KPortal Reviews

Four of us ordered the ribeye steak which came out in a piping hot plate, the steaks was cooked how we asked for them.
Saturday is steak night so they do a good deal, our steaks were £10 each which is good value.
Very sad to read news about Rick. We quite understand you need time. Stay safe.
We look forward to enjoying The Jockey once again, when you feel ready to re-open.
Good range of food. Lovely garden, country location. Cider. Before you order food ask how long it will take as we had to wait a long time because we were at the end of a queue of people at opening time on a Friday evening. I've eaten there quite a lot and it's been fine.
People's reviews of this place vary a lot, as you will have seen. This reflects a lack of consistent high standards in quality, service, and so on. Sometimes things are great, sometimes OK and sometimes poor. So you take your chance. On the positive side, the location is delightful and it's a great place to walk to from Frome and nearby. The beer is good real ale.
Gorgeous little pub with a bit of personality. Food very good and inexpensive. Lovely location, off the beaten track. Plenty of tables outside, dotted about the gardens so not on top of each other. Ended my meal with an ice-cream float.. a simple pleasure and one not seen on any other menu. ????
Always terrific value for money. Advise you try and get in early, especially on Saturday 'steak nights', as this is popular and with such a small kitchen you may be waiting a while for your food.
The food is worth the wait as it's always been very good, and the best steaks are served here at such good value.
The four of us had rump steaks, with a couple of drinks each and a desert for just over £80. People may have a winge about the décor or service, but value for money this is so good and the quality of the food is not compromised at all
So nice to go to a proper pub! Friendly, great service and lovely atmosphere. Food can take a while to get to you after ordering, but it's so good when you get it, and the portions are huge! Love it here!
Be warned that this is NOT a child friendly pub. We went for lunch and were yelled at by bar staff that nobody under 14 is allowed in the bar.
There were no manners or pleasantries used in telling us this at all and when we clarified given there were kids menus on the tables we were told that it was on the door. We looked on the way out to see a tiny note that everyone would have missed.
In this instance we left understandably angry and went elsewhere. Staff could be heard laughing when we left.
Can’t comment on food or drink as we were given no opportunity to try it.
Don’t recommend going here with family. Staff need to learn customer service!
