Had such a lovely time at the Horse and Groom! I was served by Jon and he made sure i had a great experience! He was very pleasant always made sure I was having the best time!!!!!

Used to eat and drink here before new owners the previous owner would be ashamed of the state of the place if I could post pictures of the disgusting state of the ladies loos I would. Don't think the toilets have been cleaned since before old owner, tap is not working properly the all step is broken and there is an inch of dust everywhere wall need wiping. Glad they don't do food anymore would hate to think what the kitchen would be like.????
Fantastic pub , Mick and Veronica are superb hosts , great selection of beers and ales, they even have food trucks that attend on a weekly basis. The also have an excellent garden. Best pub in Braintree by a country mile.
They don't serve food but happy to bring your own or wait for the food truck to arrive.
Friendly staff and people nice atmosphere
So having never been to this pub, table was sticky, i found a parking space, however, others feel its ok to block you in, they double park down the middle!! Idiots! I did manage to get out with eyes watching, so wont be frequenting this pub again.
Great family friendly pub with a fab outdoor seating area and indoor as well. The food was fantastic as well as had the burger with cheese. Also family circle had the fish and chips and ham & cheese baguette. Great portion sizes with delicious chips and onion rings with the burger and coleslaw. Will be back as the locals are very welcoming and the staff and owners are brilliant too. ????
