Best KPortal Reviews

Food was great, delicious. Staff was nice. Prices are reasonably average. Setting is pleasant, with Fire Dept. memories. TVs line the place and sporta games arw playing. Listen, I rate places because as a consumer myself I tend to go off of people's reviews- all we have is us.. because businesses will always say they're the best with nothing evwr evwr wrong... well tonight I was drawn to this place and wanted to eat there. I arrived and almost left due to something so simple- I'll phrase it like this- I almost left because the seat could have been cleaned better. We're easing out of Covid restrictions and to see this makes me feel like the laws are real laxed up here. Food crumbs in the seat is too easy of a clean up to lose customers. Other than that I liked the place. Food was very well seasoned and tasteful...and affordable as I mentioned.
first of all we were the only party
and it took extremely long for our food to come. two of us asked
for no onions and both received onions. one of us ordered fish and the appearance
was very unappetizing.
The fare was fair. Fries were soggy and I ordered a burger done Medium, recieved it done well. Was told beer was 4$, charged 5$. Waited way too long for a subpar meal and to be misinformed and overcharged.
We got treated by friends for early Mother's day the food is excellent, everything is made fresh to order apps and dinners were delicious.
I gave them 5 stars for closing down. New management has taken over since then, thankfully.
There's a lot of improvement needed. First, there's no road signage and it can't be seen from the road; it's in a Best Western that's set back from the road and also not really visible. There are only like 5 parking spaces near the entrance otherwise you have to use the hotel lot. The inside of the restaurant is nice, clean, had comfortable seats, and maintained the firefighter theme. Unfortunately the AC was set to freeze, but otherwise the interior was nice.
The service was really bad though. I went in as part of a group of 4 and there were only 2 people at the bar. We were introduced to our waiter immediately but he was extremely ineffective especially given how dead the place was. The whole time he tried to be too chummy, insisted he had our order by memory, forgot my drink, forgot to put in my food order, when he came to say the food would take a little longer I asked for another drink which he promptly forgot. The food was alright at best - basically just bar food and the fries were very soggy. When I got my first beer he poured rhe bottle into a glass but just dumped it straight in so it was all head and there was about a third of a bottle left, then tried to say that 'that's how IPAs pour' (I didn't let him pour the second). To top it off, towards the end he PULLED UP A CHAIR TO OUR TABLE and started talking to one of our party about how he wanted to make the place better and asking for feedback. We had plenty to give but what he did was weird and made everyone uncomfortable.
My family and I thought we’d try this restaurant. The menu looked fine,,,the bartender was pleasant, the appetizers were good. The alcoholic drinks tasted like they were 100% alcohol. I ordered a steak salad when it was bought to me it was 70-80% fat and grizzle. I asked for a new one. When the second sirloin came out it was also 80% fat and grizzle. My husband’s chicken Parmesan tasted like a frozen dinner he said. We were very disappointed
Open on Easter so I popped in for dinner when visiting my daughter at college. Excellent waitress (who was also running the bar). Went out of her way to help me order a meal without creams, butter or breading. Smile on her face... delicious food! So glad we found it.
