We had a few pints early doors and sat outside, we then noticed they did curry and a pint for £8.99 with chips or rice, so we thought we'd try it and it was very nice and not out of a packet as we expected for the price would recommend????
Great pub. Staff are excellent. Food is all home cooked. Sunday carvery is especially nice as well as the fresh pizza.

Go sit upstairs out the way and leave your polite staff to run the place, you may have a half decent pub and customers MIGHT start returning

Nice pub for Karoake night. Busy night but landlord took the trouble to find us a table. Would return to try the food
Not from Mickleover, but often visit to see close family. Really like this place – the ales are spot on, the food good and reasonably-priced, the lad behind the bar was polite and attentive and when outside in the (nicely-kept and tidy!) garden, we felt really welcome by staff and a few locals. Far more than an ‘estate pub’ and well worthy of a visit!
Hard work by the current landlords make this place great.
