I had a 1:1 bespoke course today with Debbie. I wanted advice on how to set up my business, how to decorate my cakes, photograph and market. Debbie delivered on this and more. From the friendly welcoming greeting on arrival, the training done in her home environment to all the advice she could give me, far exceeded what I was expecting. I had no prior experience with cake decorating and I came away with some truly inspiring cupcakes. Debbie provided a very delicious soup and dessert for lunch. We also covered techniques on how to best present and photograph the cupcakes. I can't wait to get my own equipment and start practising the techniques she taught me. Whilst we covered an extremely large amount in the day, I feel there is still more to be learnt so will be back in the future. Everything from start to finish Debbie had pre-planned specific to what i was looking for and tailored the day to cover it all.
Just done a cake decorating course with Debbie at The Homemade House and just had the best experience. Debbie was great loads of great advice, patient and very attentive. I shared the course with 2 amazing people, who made the day even more enjoyable, they were so friendly and made me feel like I was an old friend. Can't wait to do another course. Throughly recommend Debbie and this great company.
What a great day! My sister and I spent a day at The Homemade House with Debbie simultaneously learning from her and having a fun time in the most beautiful of settings. We did the cupcake decorating course learning how to cut, mould, pipe and ice, and each went home with a dozen cupcakes that we were proud of and our respective work teams thoroughly enjoyed! Top top day and would highly recommend. Don't hesitate!
What an absolutely fantastic day. Myself sister and mum have had a lovely time learning new skills from Debbie. She is very patient and allowed us time to master the skills without rushing us.
The lunch she provide was delicious and very relaxed.
The whole experience is definitely worth the money and we all left with a dozen beautifully decorated cakes.
I will definitely be booking on another course.

My day at The Homemade House learning to bake scones for the first time was an excellent experience. The location and facilities were perfect, Debbie is an excellent teacher who made me feel very welcome and at ease. She has taught me new skills and inspired me. I am looking forward to the cup cake and bread making courses at The Homemade House in July.
Having spent 6 lovely hours with Debbie today in a 1 to 1 session, I can highly recommend her patience, companionship, knowledge and skill. Time flew by, yet I achieved so much in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Debbie is truly a lady driven by her passion to deliver, not only a top quality product, but the inspiration of cake decorating to others, developing confidence, and having fun!!!

My sister, mum & I had a day mastering the art of cupcake decorating at The Homemade House.
Debbie is a wonderful host and tutor, making us feel at ease as soon as we arrived. Her cookery school is set in a beautiful location.
We spent the whole day with Debbie and she provided a two course homemade lunch which was delicious!
I felt the course was totally worth the money for the hours we spent hands on decorating cupcakes, the refreshments provided (chocolate cake was lovely), and little hints & tips for baking & decorating etc. My husband was very impressed with the 12 beautiful cupcakes I returned home with.
I would definately reccommend this cookery school and will return for another course.

I had my first day on a course making decorations for cup cakes. It was just such a lovely day. Debbie is warm, clearly exceptionally skilled and makes you feel welcome. She talks you through the processes using demonsatrations in a clear informative way. I had such a lovely day with two other ladies on the course, Wendy and Sophie who were a delight. Debbie cooked the most beautiful soup for lunch and without a doubt, the best bread I have ever tasted followed by a fabulous pudding and fresh cookies throughout the day. I will be going back without a doubt. The facilities are fabulous. Thank you Debbie for such a fabulous expereince.
