Best KPortal Reviews

Local (not chain) business - the main reason to visit. The coffe is okey, the cakes too. Unfortunately, everything is just average.
A huge downside is that cakes and pastries are not labeled, there are no lists of ingredients and no price list.
The staff are polite but uninterested.
Non-dairy milk options available.
Savory meals also sold.
The saucer of my coffe cup was a bit dirty - that was very unpleasant.
Good selection of cakes and food and everything tasted nice but nothing special. Unfortunately nothing is labelled for price or description so you’re left having to ask the staff what everything is or just guess. Prices seemed quite steep although it is Highgate so maybe theirs is same as others ????‍♂️. Staff ok but not overly friendly or welcoming.
Very Disappointing to their bakeries, both jam doughnut and mille feuille.
The pastries are too below average, probably the worst Mille-feuille, tho looks nice from the window. Don’t recommend at all.
p.s. the service is very average also, I don’t feel they’re friendly to customers.
Great little place to stop off for a treat, lovely coffee and the strawberry tart was delicious. Also had some quiche to take away and was also lovely.
Shocked to have been charged £17 for 2 cream éclairs and 2 cream horns! And, they weren't even good! Better quality in supermarkets! And the lady serving me didn't even bother to mention the price, just took my card for payment! Think they are over trading on the area's popularity.
Very poor service!!!
They didn’t want to give me a tea spoon to stair up my coffee!!!
Then they blamed us for using the auger from the table!!!
Toilet isn’t clean at all especially for a place where food is the main thing!!!
This business will go down if they don’t learn how to win every single customer!!!
Especially in this area the rich people aren’t stupid!!!
If you’re not excellent in what you’re doing you’ll fell behind as this business already has its competitors which are well established!!!
The reason I come here is to support independent proprietors. Pros : gorgeous array of cakes and pastries. Nice selection of cooked savouries. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Cons: Where they can improve is the savoury food is quite bland. For example the couscous can be vastly improved if they cooked that in chicken stock and added some herbs. The lasagne and quiche were quite bland also and the type of veges they are using in the lasagne are just basic frozen vege mix. They could add some more interesting veg like eggplant and zucchini for example. The staff are consistently very friendly and polite, so any other comments,on here saying to the contrary are just making that up or trying to sabotage, in my opinion
Unconvinced by anyone putting anything more than 3 stars for this place. Not unless things change considerably day to day, which is possible.
Think the worst part really is the deceptiveness of the lack of pricing, and how that equates to the experience and food quality.
The drinks were OK, as was the pecan pie we had, but the cottage pie was just so bland it didn't justify the seeming expense when it came to the bill; nearly £28 for drinks, a main and a sweet.
The staff were pleasant but by no means personable. The atmosphere inside is just so different and lackluster from what you expect looking at the front.
If you just want a pastry/sweet and coffee, yeah it's OK but anything beyond that, could not recommend.
