Fantastic little family run business with beautiful home made cakes and sweet treats. Set on the top floor of The Granary offering a gorgeous view - is this little gem of a tearoom. You will be hard to find better quality of food for the price here. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to please you. The Omelettes are amazing, I don’t know how the chef manages it!
I’m surprised at some of the negative reviews! The stairs up are worth it, so sitting down and being served at your table does wonders for my feet!
If you’re hungry be sure to get their early on weekends because you may have to wait for a table!
5* for this independant, family run and wonderful place.
A lovely little tea room with amazing views out across the countryside. We stopped off one Sunday morning for tea and breakfast and the full English was lovely! We also took away some of the scrummy cakes for later. Be warned you do have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the Hideaway but if you have the legs for it then it’s worth the climb! The staff were really friendly and although very busy they managed to serve us quite quickly and were very helpful.
This is my third time here and it doesn't disappoint! I kept forgeting to take pictures before eating the food. But this time I managed to do so! Theres always excelent service food is great! The staff is Very friendly. I would highly recommend anyone to go there and try the food. If you dont mind going up all the stairs. The views are also really nice and its quiet enough for anyone to enjoy their time there!
I was taken aback when on my visit they charged me 60p extra for sauce sachets. I asked for some more sauce sachet but got more given to me than I wanted and was charged for an extra 6 when I never even asked for that many. The woman serving me was quite rude when I pointed out that the price of extra sachets was not on the menu and never been charged before, she never even had an answer for that, and she said I make an issue but I’ve not done this before as someone else has always paid the bill when I’ve been there previously so how can I make an issue each time! I have never complained before but thought the service at the till was quite bad this time which is a shame. Actually thinking about it now, I didn’t even use all the sachets that I was charged for so a complete rip off and I’ll try somewhere else next time.
This is my go to place for a Sunday afternoon. I wonder round the antiques places where my son coms me into buying him Military gear and then a pit stop in these tea rooms. Amazing views. Food is amazing and especially the cakes would totally recommend this place. Can't fault it.
Always a welcome place to get food food and friendly service. The cakes can't be described, only experienced! We love coming here whenever we're in the area.
We had a very nice lunch here. My husband had sausage, egg and chips and I had scrambled egg on toast. Service was quick and the food well presented and hot.
The ladies were very friendly and made me an oatmilk latte by hand.
The bread pudding was the tastiest I've had in years - spicy and with candied peel - delicious.
We'll be back!
Great prices on the tea with a great view, be prepared to climb the large staircase though...
