Used to frequent the pub in the 80s and 90s and was surprised it's still got its character with some updates. Afternoon pint with my son after a walk in Malham. Bar staff were pleasant and knew their wine choices.
Had my daughters Baby Shower here and Laura and Stef were fab. Laura put up the balloon arch and it was beautiful. The buffet was delicious and went down a treat with everyone.The function room is ideal. Thankyou both so much, we had a great day. Definitely recommend this venue ????
We ventured in here this last Sunday teatime and found the landlord to be most hospitable.
Sat out in a great outside space and within minutes our dog was also refreshed by the fantastic proprietors.
We will definitely return in the near future.

Information online said this place served food daily from 1pm.. was quite disappointed to find that this wasn't the case... food is served from 3pm Thursday to Sunday.. the pub itself is really nice, very pleasant interior decor and a good old school proper pub vibe. We ordered a round of drinks, which were served with a smile. Will return for food another day and review my review!

Really old cosy pub worth visiting ????
Lovely pub on the edge of town. Lovely views form the beer garden. Usually have at least 3 real ales on tap.
Twice me and my 4 year old daughter has come to this pub! Once last Sunday understood that they were busy so we got a drink and waited to see if a table came available! Not once did any staff come up to us to be polite and advise a waiting time completely ignored. However gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought we would try again. This afternoon came in no one hardly in one couple and a family of three. We sat down asked for a menu and staff just said no fully booked. So we left I called up and asked if I could have a table was told we can have one at 2:30pm without saying how many. This was in half an hour. So I don't know how they can refuse us but book someone without knowing how many people half hour later! I actually felt not welcome at all and I have no idea what me and my four year old has done. Craven Hiefer is the way forward! Will never step foot in here again.
