What's not to like about the Happening Bagel Bakery. I absolutely love the hard dough curly topped bread which when bought hot and fresh from the oven is a joy to eat on its own though I like to wash it down with a bottle of chilled coke. The bagels are tasty and are an absolute treat whatever you decide to combine them with for a meal. The prices went up in recent times but I still run in there anytime I am in the neighbourhood.
This has fast become one of my favourite places in the area. I only come here on game days and we only have bagels.
The turnover on the bagels is constant so they are always fresh (I can’t comment on non game days). I have not had any cakes or savouries from here so I can’t comment on them but they do look like aren’t as popular as the bagels so they may sit in the chiller for longer. End of the day if you want a cake go to a bakery and not a bagel shop.. common sense people!
You are in and out of here in minutes on game days, everywhere else around you have to queue for a period of time but here you don’t which makes it a lot more convenient.
Prices aren’t bad at all, £4.40 for a smoked salmon bagel is average in my eyes. Will be back here on the next game day, can’t stay away!
Very well baked bread, passterie and cakes, tastes nice with good texture. Very clean inside and staff are friendly. Prices are fair with good quality flour and ingriedients used.
The sweet dough bread tasted very sweet, tasted less sweet & better the next day.
No big complaints with this bakery.
This nice bakery. The quality of the products remind me that cakes are a treat. I certainly had no issue with purchasing lots of stuff in one go because it was all well presented and well made. I will be back very soon ????
I love this shop. Just bought 70 rainbow bagels, which I ordered on Friday. I ordered pretty late because I trust them to deliver, buying there for years for kids birthday parties.
Not only great taste and attitude, but they also helped me carry bagels to my car. Such sweethearts!
The food is here is stale, hideous and severely overpriced. I am Lucinda having spent £17 for a small bag of bagels and two sausage rolls and a doughnut. The sausage rolls and doughnuts were stale and hard. The bagels were below average. I have no idea how they are still in business
Disgusting. Bought 2 slices of cheesecakes for nearly £8 and it tastes off! Will never come back again
The food is pretty awful for what you get, i paid £8.10 for a bagel and sausage roll. I only got the sausage roll because you can’t pay with card unless it’s over £5. It was pretty much inedible, bearing in mind i’m 6 months pregnant and need to be careful with what i eat. I felt very sick afterwards.
