The Halal Guys is a place that I first visited in the city at one of their street carts.
I was amazed by their efficiency and popularity. As there were usually lines 5 people or more. Service was still very quick and there was another one of the Halal Guys cart across the street.
The Halal guys make a more refined and unique type of food. With their signature white sauce and extra spicy hot sauce.
The spiced Beef (not lamb) and chicken is also more flavorful than others too.
They offer small and regular sized platters where the small is a typical halal sized platter and regular can be eaten in 2 servings especially if extra meat is ordered.
The brick and mortar locations on Long Island are more expensive than the cart. But that is to be expected. There is parking, dinning room, bathroom, and more food and drink options to choose from.
We love that there is a Halal Guys close to home and prefer them over other halal options in the area.
Oh boy the food was great specially with the white sauce, I ordered chicken over rice and ohhh god the taste, the seasoning and sauce created a great texture .. be careful with hot sauce though it’s really spicy … and Edison the manager is really a nice guy he offered us free desert. Recommended
Halal chicken / lamb combo platters are always good BUT for $12.. I normally get it off a truck for $7 with a soda included so it’s definitely more then I’m use to paying for what it is … but I will say the portions / containers are bigger here and the quality of the meats pretty good so I give it a 4/5. Would I come back? Maybe if I was craving the food and wanted a big plate of it, and was in the area. So probably only for location convenience. Employee’s are very nice though :)
The lamb and chicken was freshly brought out right when we walked in, and the staff gave a generous amount and were very welcoming. Highly recommend if you are really hungry or if you like a chicken and lamb platter.
Absolutely garbage food. I literally can’t believe people actually like it. I request no lettuce and they gave me half of the container filled will lettuce. Barely any meat. Very disappointed
I went down the first time as I was driving by and figured I’d check it out .
This is in a busy area that’s a bit congested but it offers parking and other food offerings if you are looking for that.
The line went quickly and the employees seemed solid.
I ordered a falafel sandwich with most of the “works”; it was satisfying but the falafel itself lacked the punch and complexity I’ve had in other places.
It was a bit on the pricey side ; but you pay a bit more for fresh food.
I’ll give this place another visit for sure and try something else on the menu.

Really yummy food. Both the beef and chicken gyro platters were great. The orange rice was delicious. Portions were very good and the guy taking orders was super sweet and nice. Will be back next time I'm in Farmingdale.
Love the food, got the spicy BBQ sandwich with fries. For sure coming back. Also very friendly and fast staff.
