Utterly incompetent. I turned up for my appointment to find they had cancelled it. I had a missed call from 10 minutes earlier. Contrast this with their demand the day before where they sent a snotty text demanding that I confirm my attendance at the appointment 24 hours in advance. Maybe the doctor should have got one of those texts because he couldn't be bothered to turn up to work today. Apparently they think people drive an hour around Herts for fun and have nothing better to do. Another symptom of how one-sided this place is. A reasonable and professional service would have ensured I still got seen by someone. You won't find the 6 Cs here. Is someone going to pay my petrol or time wasted from work? Didn't think so. So this place wastes your time and money.
The worst experience with doctors. After first test they mixed up samples. On the second appointment doctor was 30 minutes late and perform very quick procedure. He didn’t want to talk, answer questions. The procedure was rushed, not pleasant.
And today at Oat lodge was another worst experience with a coil. I was told either give us permission to start or we lower the bed. One nurse on my worry just rolled her eyes up. Doctor didn’t really want to answer questions. Only after procedure another nurse came out and tried to talk to me. I was left in tears after all these experiences.
I will have to write a complain and ask to transfer me to another hospital.
It has one star for a reason! Had an appointment yesterday and I was treated terribly, similar experience to people who left comments here. Doctor had no idea what he was doing; disrespectful and rude. Made me feel very uncomfortable during the examination. After it, the conversation was beyond the high level of impoliteness. He made wrong conclusions and assumptions. When I tried to correct him, I was told that he will not be dictated and I can leave.I felt very upset when I left, to say at least. He also had issues with communication in English, as admitted. I have no idea how he even get a job. Someone should investigate this clinic and do something about it....AVOID.
Went to get my coil removed - tmi?? Anyway, the receptionist upstairs and downstairs were lovely, the receptionist upstairs was very kind and patient with me, the first dr lady I saw wasn't very friendly.. pretty cold, but she wasn't rude, it just seemed like she didn't have any people skills. Her helper was lovely though. She couldn't find the coil so I was booked in for a week later to do it again with a camera.
When I came in again, the receptionist was very polite. Upstairs receptionist was a diamond, very friendly and helpful and reassuring. The doctor and her helper lady were amazing! They got right onto the job at hand, they made me feel comfortable and reassured. The helper even offered to hold my hand ???? but the hub was ok to do that! I didn't take any ibuprofen before the procedure, I don't take them in general. But during the procedure, there was no pain! Just the normal uncomfortable feeling with the speculum. These ladies were very professional. They did an awesome job. The Dr found my coil and got it out. I thanked her and the helper lady and we left. A very positive experience for me - and both times going I was very nervous and scared at the start - both times going. They helped me with reassurance. Thumbs up from me!
