About a week ago my husband was online looking for a local place to try for brunch on Saturday. That's when he came across The Groovy Gourmet. Well, what a fabulous find! I went the breakfast route and ordered quiche, bacon, a side of broccoli salad, and their Biffy waffle biscuits. My husband took the lunch route and ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side of pasta salad, and a side/sample scoop of the smoked gouda pimento cheese. Every bite off of each one of our plates was delicious. It doesn't get much better than biscuit dough in a waffle maker - it makes every bite like the crunchy end of a biscuit. Top it with their homemade apple pie jam - OMG yummy! And to top it off my husband ordered a piece of the maple pecan cake - he said it was the best he had ever had. I cannot recommend this cute little groovy place enough. Stop by for lunch and give it a try!
The variety of sandwiches and delicious flavors are keeping us coming back for more!! Live music on Thursday will be our next time to visit :) it’s got a great amount of desserts too! If your a first timer, get the Pimento cheese on pumpernickel
Love, love, love this hidden (for the moment????) gem in Downtown Chickamauga. This place caught me eye while driving Downtown so glad we turned around and decided to try it. The Reuben on pumpernickel was superb but the main show was the Cuban. As a Puertorrican growing all my life with this sandwich my expectations were like "let's see if is OK". OK? was such an understatement. It please me beyond expectations and my husband got a bite of it and I swear that his eye glistened like if a tear was about to show up. In summary the food is outstanding and I will end up writing a telenovela if I started describe their pastries just let's say they are the bomb.
This newly remodeled casual eatery shows off the owners artistic murals and creative menu items. Traditional items like tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich are also featured.
I had the Cuban sandwich was ok, they used regular sub rolls instead of Cuban bread ,but then again I'm from Miami so they could'nt come close to what I was used to . The inside of building was not very appealing !
Pretty cool spot in Chickamauga, GA. Cold beer, wine, and great food. Friendly staff and the decor has a hint of "Alice in Wonderland" theme.
If I could give more than 5 stars - I would!!!!! What a treasure of a place. Great service, food and atmosphere. Today was my first time there and I can guarantee it will be one of many more. I had the club sandwich which was wonderful. Loaded with meat!!!! Also picked up some chicken salad and pasta salad - absolutely wonderful. You won't go wrong giving this place a stop in!!!
The brunch and food are amazing. The mimosas are original and beat anything that Chattanooga has to offer. My favorite is blackberry peach mimosa. 10/10 recommend. Beer menu is great. I also love the chicken salad. Honestly it is all good. They have what’s called a “Biffy” for brunch. It’s amazing. The menu is very original and unique. Family owned and operated. Fantastic service.
