We visited The Granary to have a wander round and look at the antiques.
To access the shop, you have to ascend quite steep stairs which are not ideal for anyone who struggles with their mobility.
The space is small but has a wide range of different items which are fun to browse around. Items seemed quite expensive but maybe that’s as a result of inflation.
Atmospheric place with good food and coffee. We always stop there for a short break during our cycling trips to the seaside. It would be nice to have a bike rack installed somewhere.
We had high hopes for the cafe, unfortunately not the case. poor service, High prices and very burnt overcooked scone. No option of it being warmed! Very bland in every sense. Sorry but won't be returning.
Above says it all a pleasant place to visit, the scones are excellent.
Be careful if you venture upstairs the steps are very steep, grateful I don't have to carry 18 stone Wheat sacks up them.
Visited today and normally have cake and tea, had a sandwich today that cost over £8.00 for two slices of supermarket bread 3 crisps and tiny amount of salad seems excessive and won’t bother again.
Feel ripped off
Very good cafe. Lovely cakes and I enjoyed the pot of tea I had, my friend had a latte and said it was delicious. Lots of gifts to browse as well.
Delicious homemade sausage rolls and cakes ???? great coffee too. Lovely little Aladdins cave in the shop beautiful gifts at a very reasonable price. Doggy friendly ????
Lovely sausage & egg bap and a nice xup of tea in the cafe here , then a walk upstairs to the antique shop , loads of interesting buys up there, well worth a visit for both
