Clean and simple in an ideal location. This is a boutique hotel so it may not be as refined as a chain. The location was great for what I wanted (wine). Our room was clean but hot since the AC wasn't very effective, but a fan was provided; it reminded me of some of the hotels in Europe.
What a nice little hotel! We really enjoyed the comfort, design, quality, and cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Manager Anthony helped us with an issue with the HVAC in our room and couldn’t have been friendlier or more gracious. The continental breakfast was generous, and the space for it was wonderfully uncrowded. The attached restaurant’s menu sure looked good for dinner, although we didn’t have the opportunity to try it; that is on our list for next time. The Gould is perfectly located for a variety of Finger Lakes activities, and early Spring was the ideal time to visit, with mild temperatures, late-enough sunsets for long days of sightseeing, and no crowds anywhere. We can’t wait to return and will definitely stay at the Gould again!

Excellent throughout, although not perfect. The bathroom could have been better. It had no hooks for clothes or horizontal surfaces for cosmetics. The floor was cold. The shower floor was not anti-skid, and there were no hand rails. The shower water control was located such that your arm was sprayed with cold water as it was tuned on.
Positive: Really comfortable, attractive, sparkling-clean room and bathroom! Fun design throughout. Manager couldn¿t have been more gracious. Negative: A soft chair or small couch would have been a nice addition to the King room, and there seems to be plenty of room for it. HVAC was finicky and may need servicing. Negative: ""

Great location. Rooms were very nice. Hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was uninspiring. Mostly carbs, bagels, fruit, yogurt, donuts.
