Went for an early doors drink on a Friday evening. The service was friendly and efficient and the drinks as you would expect. They were also serving Pizza so we ordered 2 to share between 3 of us and they were excellent... So much so that the photo wasn't taken until we were down to the last slice!
A lovely traditional boozer. Good selection of real ale, organic lager and more. Fabulous hand made traditional pizzas. Open fire. Lovely staff and nearby parking.
Our ale drinkers were ok, for me though the lager options were more of a light ale taste.
Probably the best pub in Stroud town itself. A little walk up the hill from the town centre. Nice people, decent atmosphere, good beers and a rear garden. Most recently went along on a Wednesday evening because everywhere else seemed to be closed.

A small brilliantly run gem of a pub,well kept ales, clean friendly, what you would want in a proper pub..a rare find nowadays. No gimmicks,what you see is what you get.Ania&Rory and their team run a fantastic pub,they go above and beyond for their locals..definitely worth a visit for a traditional pub...and not forgetting Rorys authentic pizzas on a Friday night...long may their tills ring.
Smartly decorated locals pub. One real ale - a well kept Tom Long from Stroud brewery.
A lovely small, and intimate pub, with a surprisingly large, tidy beer garden at the rear of the pub. offering a fine selection of ales and ciders as well as all the other usual drinks that one might expect to find in such an establishment.
There is also a surprisingly "spacious," secluded beer garden at the rear of the pub.
Free nibbles are also a feature which you may be lucky enough to consume, if you happen to be there at the "right" time.
There is also occassional live music , too!
