Best chip shop in deal! Lovely owners and amazing quality fish and chips. Batter was lovely and crispy too. Will definitely be going back :)
Chips weren't cooked enough burger was a nasty texture mushy barely cooked.the only nice part was the curry sauce. Overall pretty crappie.
It was one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The cod was perfect. Great size (I had the large) very thick, flaky, and the batter wasn't greasy. Delicious! Great service too

Used to be my goto for great fish and chips. Staff were welcoming..when prices go up and you get knocked back on quantity, for a long term customer that's not on! And they knew it. Shame.
Service was just OK, due to waiting while staff had a little moan at each other. Polite and friendly when interacting with customer, the staff appeared confused as to who should be doing what so disorganized. Fish was very good my partner said one of the best she had eaten, chips very dry and potatoes not had black eyes removed. Most went to sea gulls.
Food is OK sometimes but the most annoying thing about this place as with many other Chippies in town is that they don't take cards any more. People don't often carry cash on them these days so if you go there and you've forgotten to get cash out then you're going home disappointed.
I normally use Walmer Fish and Chip shop or Seaview near Deal Pier as they always take card payments.
The staff here at the Golden Fillet are bloody wonderful. They listen to your order, cook it fresh in front of you, offer salt, pepper etc and give option of open or wrapped. They make polite conversation and whilst food is cooking there are no awkward silences.
The food tastes great and in 15 yrs of eating from here I have NEVER had a bad meal.
If you're in the area they are worth stopping by and getting dinner.
