The best breakfast you’ll ever get! Great prices, huge portions, and the friendliest staff - our server Alena was the sweetest. Photo is of the Fresh Corned Beef Skillet and (above) Lumberjack Omelette above (came with a side of pancakes). Eggs cooked to perfection - so fluffy. The pancakes have the most perfect texture of chewy and pillowy softness. This place has all the familiar favorite diner food but just done better.
My recent visit to the Golden Egg near Ypsilanti left me with nothing but praise. The vibe at this place was absolutely fantastic, setting the perfect tone for a memorable brunch outing. The service was top-notch, and we were so impressed that we left a generous tip for our clerk.
If you’re ever in the mood for brunch, I highly recommend giving Golden Egg a try. They offer a diverse selection of dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings without overwhelming your stomach. I particularly appreciated that their offerings weren’t overly spicy or harsh on the stomach.
During our visit, we indulged in the Lumberjack omelette with gravy sauce, a hearty and flavorful choice. Additionally, we couldn’t resist ordering some pancakes with grinders, and they were simply delightful.
I can’t wait to return to Golden Egg for another delightful brunch experience. It’s a place that knows how to make your morning special, both with its atmosphere and its delicious menu.
Great classic diner. Can only speak to the breakfast. Quick and polite service even though it was packed. Love being able to see the short order cooks work the griddle. Very reasonable prices, great prices if you're early in the day as breakfast items are on special. Delicious grits, wish more places had this as an option.
First time trying it and would def recommend. Customer service was absolutely amazing and the food was good. Brittany was very attentive and kind. Will be going back
I always love coming to The Golden Egg. The employees are warm, welcoming, and personable. I can tell they genuinely care about every guest. Recently I came with a friend and sat at the bar for the first time. We were long cashed out but still checked on very frequently by our server, other servers, and one of the cooks as we were sitting at the bar. The food is hot and delicious!
At 1:30pm, parking lot was mostly full. We thought we'd have to wait, but they were properly staffed and immediately seated us at a clean table. Server was attentive, but gave us more time when needed. Friendly service, good food, breakfast anytime.
Favorite breakfast place in town. The only constructive thing I could say is I wish they were open later! But the staff is amazing, food is quintessential homey diner breakfast. There's almost always a wait for a table on weekends, but that just goes to show how popular the place is.
What can I say other than the Place is awesome lived here for 43 years first time and it did not disappoint. Young lady helping us was the best and the Philly grinder was amazing!!!!! A++++
