After having a wander round Glamis castle gardens the Glamis corner cafe was calling for some tea and freshly made cake. I'd looked it up before arriving after finding out it was doggy friendly. Not only was it very welcoming for our beloved pooch (providing her with a fresh bowl of water) the lovely young lady who welcomed us was very attentive and polite. There was no issue that it was approaching closing time and we didn't feel rushed or pushed out. The home baking was to die for and the coffee was fabulous. Looked like it had a good menu for lunches too. Will definately return if in the area.
Went for breakfast this morning with friends, I had French toast not with icing sugar or maple syrup, bacon and fried egg, plates came really hot, which was great has is was pouring outside, my other friend had same but with the icing and syrup, other 2 had smashed banana on toast, we had tea and different coffee, all very nice.
Have never been here, but will definitely return.
We were very surprised to find that this shop/cafe/post office had the best soup & sandwich combo we've had in Scotland. The staff was very sweet and helpful, the coffee was great. Just overall very good experience, definitely recommend.
Really friendly, relaxed atmosphere with tasteful decor, which made you feel welcome and relaxed. The food choice was excellent with a range of toasties and sandwiches from the plain and simple for the less adventurous, to more sophisticated for those who want to push the boundaries. Also has daily specials, which on the day we were there was a smoked salmon salad on sourdough. We also had coffee and cake, which was all home-baked, and the coffee was most definitely batista level. All this in the quaint setting of Glamis! Definitely give it a try. We'll be back!!
Ideal place if you're looking for a tasty lunch while having a walk around the village or a quick coffee and cake
A very handy little shop with a very nice cafe attached. Really nice food, I had grilled goats cheese with some salad and it was excellent. Nice coffee too and the cakes looked good, though I didn't have one
My partner and I were road tripping around Scotland from Sydney, Aus, and we found this gorgeous little town and corner shop. I highly recommend, the staff were lovely and we had the best toasties ever on a freezing cold day! And we got plenty of travel tips from the locals - the Scottish hospitality is second to none!
Absolutely lovely little corner shop and cafe. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Homemade cakes were a bit underwhelming but tasty none the less. Corner shop has all the basics you need. All the staff lovely.
