The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and accommodating, to the point he asked how hot we wanted our food. Food was really good and a meal (pie, chips & curry sauce or drink) at £5.50 was a good deal to be had. Definitely recommend to anyone passing, and we will be going back again soon.
I've been regularly ordering from Giddy Kippler for the past two months, and it's become my go-to spot every Friday. The staff here are incredibly friendly and always make the experience enjoyable. While they only offer takeaway and don't have dining in options, the ambiance of the place is still warm and inviting.
One thing to note is that they don't have a halal board, but I've found that they're more than accommodating if you ask. Their meat suppliers vary from day to day, so some days they have halal options while others they don't. Despite this, I've always had a positive experience with their food.
Speaking of food, the menu is varied with plenty of options to choose from. My personal favorite is the chicken kebab bowl, which never fails to satisfy even though they are famous for fish and chips and if you want to try something else
Absolutely Fantastic chip shop in a tucked away corner. The food is fantastic. One of the best chip shops I've bred too. Great value for money that will leave you feeling warm and content afterwards. The owner and is family provide a top quality service
We bought the chicken kebab from them and to be honest this is the best that we have had for a very long time. We used to order fish n chips from them until recently which is also very good as well but the chicken kebab is "THE BEST IN SOUTHAMPTON "
The place is simple and the owner is very friendly. We ordered the Large Cod and chips with salt. Delicious and will definitely return to buy more.
They do a lovely Kebab here and im fussy with donner meat but its the best ive had round here. Better than even the turkish restaurant. Good chips, lovely fish, sausages and fish cakes. Everything ive tried has been good. Sometimes takes a while for food but worth the wait
Outstanding service and quality- the best I've experienced since the old Seashell in Lisson Grove in London in the late 70s. Terrific value too, with prices about 20% cheaper than in my area of Kent.
Food very good and freshly cooked every time. Yes, you have to wait a bit longer. But it's worth it.The owners and staff are very friendly.
