Amazing classic afternoon tea experience. Everything is homemade (proper tea, hot chocolate and even lemonade!), and best scone I’ve tasted!
Also, very reasonable price, we took the menu for 2, and was more than enough (even after a day of hiking!).
Worth the detour if you’re in the area.
Also, very close to the train station so was perfect to us to do a break before taking the train back to London.
Absolutely fabulous. Sad we were not staying in Stroudonger to enable us to visit more times. Scones were delicious. Host was fantastic to chat with. Highly recommend ???? We hope to return. ????
Perfect spot for a cream tea! We were warmly welcomed and given the perfect spot to sit by the lovely butler. Scones were delicious, made daily and heated up to serve with real clotted cream and jam. Delicious! Thank you we will be back :)
What a great little place to stumble upon! We nipped in here for a quick breakfast and found this beautiful, authentic tearoom. The food was delicious (a proper full English, can't complain) and it was really nice to be served tea with a full Georgian set, complete with tea leaves and strainer. The gentleman serving us chatted to us for a while and was really friendly, telling us all about the house and how it came to be. In all honesty, it put us in a good mood for the rest of the day! Definitely one to visit in Stroud.
Wonderful tea room! My sister and I had an absolutely delicious afternoon tea, including some of the best scones I've ever had. They were also able to accommodate my dairy-free dietary restriction. Highly recommended!
This place is a little gem. We were greeted by a butler who showed us to our table.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty with local produce.
Service was excellent and the building has been restored and looks great. I would recommend this venue.
Wow! I'm amazed this gem isn't better known. Great tea and delicious pound cake, very friendly service, the teahouse is atmospheric and beautifully decorated, with a lovely attention to detail To top it all, they love dogs as well, and made ours as welcome as us. We'll definitely be back.
Easily the best eating place in Stroud, excellent food served in an original Georgian House by attentive staff and to top it off, the prices are very competitive in these troubled times of high inflation. Thoroughly recommended.
