Visited here as a table of 7 for my mother's birthday dinner. The service was exceptional. The lad serving and taking orders was very good too. Have been here a few times before, and definitely will be back next time we're visiting Ayrshire.
We usually go to the three reasons pub but it was really busy so they sent us to their 'sister' pub in the George Hotel, just round the corner.
Food was good. So tasty having sausages in the steak pie. I just stuck to the small portion, which is still a decent sized portion.
We were meeting with family. It was a wild, wet & windy day in Largs and the lounge was cozy & welcoming.
A great place to come if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Largs around lunchtime. Baked Potato with Cheese and Red Onion, I'd highly recommend.
We enjoyed a very tasty lunch here on Sunday. Chicken and black pudding with pepper sauce, I was delighted to find it came with lovely fresh vegetables. The added bonus was that lots of dishes came in a small and large portion. The small portion was plenty.
Thought we would try here for some food. I had the fish and chips. The batter a bit greasy but the fish inside was nice. Chips were good also. Nice salad. My partner had mac & cheese which was also good
Great prices for food. Would return again to try other meals. Staff friendly too.
This is the sister pub of the The Three Reasons in Largs and has a slightly different menu. I chose the steak and sausage pie (small portion) see photo attached and was not disappointed with plenty of steak under the pastry topping. This is a bigger pub as there was seven in our party and the Three Reasons couldn't fit us in so they suggested The George. The service was efficient with a smile and the staff were very polite. Meals were served quite quickly and everyone enjoyed their meal commenting on how generous the small portions were. It has a cosy atmosphere and our visit was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend this pub if you can't get in The Three Reasons. Prices were very reasonable and was going to order a sweet, but I was too full. Will definitely be paying another visit.
Great place for food. Prices are good and good is brilliant. Service is good and quick and food is served really quickly as well. Good for kids as well and options of small or large plates is also a bonus.
Been a while since I was last in the George. I met up with my cousin, a bit of a reunion. The staff were lovely, service was prompt and it was a good and calm atmosphere. We will return, because this place has turned a corner, for the better.
