Fabulous 17th century pub on Portland with a lovely wood fire burning in the side bar, lots of seating inside and out, catering for food, with a large selection of ales, lagers and more. Truly worth a visit to this Jacobean Building.
The food was 10/10
Visited today for Mothers Day, plenty of mean enough vegetables and a huge jug of gravy perfect for us.
The only downside was we were squeezed on a table where other diners had to get up to let us in. Won't put us off eating here again though.
A group of 10 of us all enjoyed our meals. Best pub food I've had in a long time - definitely the best chips I've had at a pub ever, amazing home cooked chips. Desserts were so yummy too. We will definitely return! Good prices too.

Sunday roast was lovely and beef was tender.
Service was professional polite and fairly quick.
Rooms are smal, so if you like the feel of an old inn this place is perfect for you.

A great traditional pub with a lovely enclosed garden, family, dog friendly and a relaxed atmosphere.
