We went there for live music and we had our table waiting when I arrived before everyone else. I saw a notice on the table for gift cards offering $10-$25 off. I ordered a beer and asked for a $50 card ($60 value). After my party arrived their drink orders were taken and Vicki came out to give me my card (no one else knew how to do it). We repeatedly tried to order food or get our server’s attention to no avail, I understand the music was loud but it is your restaurant and they should be able to handle it. Finally, she took our order and when our food was done it came out staggered. My lasagna tasted like a frozen single portion that was re-heated. When it came time to pay (again, a challenge to get our bill) I was told I couldn’t use my gift card because it hadn’t been “processed”. Well, my $50 had been processed, so I told her to return it and because I would not be back after my experience. I never stiff servers, but I did leave a very small tip.
Won't be back food takes to long, breakfast is the worst in Naples, don't bring any gifts to any of his young waitress like Mary Jane he may get jealous. Bartenders are great Joe and Vicki are great.
Matt is my favorite server whenever I'm there! He's on top of everything, and a very witty, charming fellow. Him and your homemade corn beef hash are why I keep coming back. Plus his karaoke skills are pretty entertaining!
Had not been in since Chrissy's became the Gavel Grill so we stopped in for breakfast to check it out. It was the worst breakfast I've ever had. How can you screw up breakfast you ask? Here's how: you start by being given a lunch menu. After a fairly long wait for a server you eventually get a breakfast menu. While waiting, you get to listen to a very loud bartender (who may or may not be the owner). Then comes the food. Pancakes may not have been from the freezer but they certainly mimicked those that are. Grits were terrible. Being from the south I know good grits. These were not. The link sausage was not fit for human consumption. Seriously, I ate one bite and almost couldn't swallow it. After a few minutes I decided to give it one more try. Had to spit it out. I've had bad, even horrible, sausage before but never any that I had to spit out. On a brighter note the eggs were ok. But mind you, it's darn near impossible to screw up an egg. Some of their lunch items looked ok but after this experience with breakfast we won't be trying anything else.
Great spot! Ice Cold Beer and Proper Burgers ????!
Everything is fresh and the atmosphere is comfortable and clean.
Our waiter even sang karaoke to Charlie Danials Band!
No longer the Gavel Grill - Now The Crooked Shillalagh. Food was good but they charge for iced tea refills. Obviously this is an Irish pub.
New restaurant in town called the Crooked Shillelagh, great vibe and Irish coffee was delicious ! Hoping tomorrow and Sunday will be great for St. Patrick's day weekend !
Deli style restaurant/bar. Surprisingly better than expected. All of our dishes very well prepared. Crab cakes kitchen made and fresh.
