Best KPortal Reviews

In town for chess tournament. Went seeking good New Orleans seafood. Discovered this joint and man…just greatness here. I remember what a good soft shell crab poboy tastes like. Theirs is a GREAT one. And the seafood gumbo was top notch, too. I’ve no doubt rest of menu plus the specials are outstanding. For that kinda quality, prices were reflective - no issues here. Will be back!
Always Always delicious!! A wonderful neighborhood seafood place .... that the locals love! You must stop there during crawfish season...and everyday in between! We enjoyed the gumbo, the Red Beans and Rice and eggplant strips! We've never been disappointed in any dish that we've ordered from there. The guys who work there, have been there for years! A good sign of a good family restaurant! They are all so fun and friendly! The service is also fast and on point! This Denver visitor has been there several times with local friends...and it's always the best!
Summary:
Great place to stop for a bite if your near. Seemed like an old neighborhood restaurant where you get a bunch of regulars, with some new comers.
Good to experience the southern cuisine in its fullest flavors.
More detailed review -
Location:
Located in the heart of Metairie, surrounded by residential homes and some business buildings. Great looking neighbor.
Restaurant:
Very straight forward building design, and easy entrance access. They have patio seating for the warmer months of the year. Clean place, well kept up. And my favorite was the atmosphere, it gives off an old traditional seafood restaurant.
Staff & service:
Friendly and attentive. I was greeted right as I walked in. They seemed very genuine with everyone they interacted with. Definitely not lacking any customer service values. They also held small conversations with the local customers. Truly makes you feel welcomed.
Food:
I enjoyed everything I ordered. Menu was straight forward and fairly priced. Didn’t wait too long in between my dishes.
It was also my first time having craw fish, and it was absolute delicious. They sell it by then lbs separate from the menu.
I recommend, and will come again.
Seafood ❤️ lovers ???? this is the place to go,a wide variety of Seafood dishes seasoned to perfection.
Great services, the guy was very attentive. Beers where on point. The only reason that I gave it a 4 star was because the food was cold. Didn’t feel fresh, the bread was also cold. Overall it was okay.
Upon walking in, the smell was so delicious and mouth watering. We were told to take a seat anywhere. The woman came and took our drink orders. She returned with the drinks but walked off before we could tell her we were ready to order. She didn't return for at least 10 minutes to take our order. At this point, our drinks were half empty. She took the orders and returned with my side salad. Eventually, the food was brought out. Our glasses were basically empty, but she didn't even consider refilling them. From that point on, we never saw her again. There was another waitress walking around waiting on her tables constantly. There was a gentleman walking around cleaning tables. At one point, he grabbed a pitcher of water and confirmed with the other waitress that a specific table was the one that needed refills. He filled their glasses and didn't bother to glance at the only 2 other tables occupied to see if anyone needed anything. We both had empty glasses. My husband said his roast beef poboy was delicious. My grilled salmon was cooked perfectly but had no seasoning on it, so it was very bland. The broccoli that I got with it was also cooked perfectly. It's really a shame. We just happened to get the waitress who wasn't working. If we lived over there, I might consider giving them another chance, but since we don't, I'll stick to other restaurants over there that I know I will like. Also, the prices I saw online from pics are old. Here are the newer prices.
The food was good. When we viewed menu online There was an option to order online. We place order on line. It was showing order placed and I received an email from bring me cos inc and I paid via pay pal. When we got to the restaurant they had our order but they were not paid. When I went back into PayPal. it was showing Bring me cis inc charged me 3.99 and set up an auto payment. I cancelled auto payment and file a dispute.
The food is okay. You can get better food for cheap at other restaurants. The lady behind the counter was rude. We've been here before many years ago but don't think we will be going here again anytime soon.
