Incredible garden out the back - in the summer what a place to be. Real pub where you talk to each other. The BAPS on the bar are well just perfect. Well worth a visit
Really cosy traditional boozer, no food at present but they're working on it, pool table multiple TVs with sports and a really good variety of draught beers, ales and ciders and the jam doughnut shots are amazing!
Great pub, visited for new year, friendly, welcoming staff, lovely locals, great times. The homemade barmcakes were lovely too

The atmosphere was overpowering! Your mens loos were overpowering from the bar! Service was lovely ❤️
Lovely garden and a great position!! A part of Wells historic drinking establishments, sadly suffering from covid and weatherspoons !! As are many good pubs xx

Unfortunately there is no longer any atmosphere or any enthusiasm from staff is a struggle to get a drink, let alone a clean table!!! A great place being run into the ground, !! A great shame!

A slight improvement due to new staff and renewed effort , watch this space to see new improvements!!!
New landlord, Larry, has really changed the place. New staff, new enthusiasm and a better attitude makes it a great place for a drink!! Garden is lovely and there's plans for improvements. Thai food is soon available . A huge transformation for the better!!! WELL DONE Keep it up ????????????????????
The Thai food is not coming soon , but lucky locals can get treated to a sample plate of noodles etc , or cheese and crackers on the bar!! But is thriving as a great PUB ! A REAL PUB!!!???????? Hats off to Larry the landlord!! Keeping pubs alive!!!!

As promised, Larry the landlord has radically improved the venue!! All aspects are vastly superior to previous attempts!!
Still a drinking pub , now with new exterior toilets, a marquee , and various TV and music options!! The staff are great and customers are too!! For a REAL pub experience the Full Moon is the choice pick in Wells!!

Since Larry has worked his wicked Irish magic and a few quid too ! The place is now the place to be!!! A PROPER PUB !! With no trouble and an eclectic mix of regulars ....if you like pubs don't miss this one if in wells!!! See you soon ????
Still a great real ale pub. Always a selection of 4 well kept ales around 4.20 a pint and traditional ciders. A proper old pub with good coverage of sport including rugby, football and horse racing on various areas of the bars and outside large heated tent. A fabulous garden in the summer . All dog friendly. We love relaxing here for an hour or two. Recommended.
Good quality food and great service from staff.
