Best KPortal Reviews
This restaurant was a little hard to find, and oddly enough, we weren't allowed to eat standing up in the bar area. I've never seen that restriction ever on the 1000s of times I've been out to lunch or dinner service over the years.
With that being said, the decor of this place is beautiful, the food was great, and the service from our waitress was outstanding. Other than the weird, no standing at a high top in the bar area restriction, everything else about The Foundry was excellent.
My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary this past Monday and we had a plan of two restaurants to choose from only to find out that they were both closed. We googled places nearby for an anniversary dinner and this place popped up. I’m so glad we gave it a chance!!
The food was incredible. My husband had poutine and the ribeye. I had the asparagus salad and caramelized scallops. We shared the crème brûlée for dessert. Each item was delicious!
At the end they surprised us with this dessert and two glasses of champagne.
I’m definitely thankful we stumbled upon this restaurant in our search for a restaurant to celebrate. The atmosphere was perfect and we had a great time. Definitely made our first anniversary special and one to remember.
Happy hour is where it's at!! Love to grab a seat at the bar and have a couple of cocktails (everything is well balanced, haven't had a bad drink here) and some apps during happy hour. Bartenders are always pleasant and make a great drink.
We alternate between causal to fine dining and happened to stumble upon this unique Farm to Table place last week, that by all measures fit both ends; causal but yet great cuisine. This was my first visit, though my friend had been there once before, but we both thought that we would definitely return.
The Blood Orange glazed Brussels Sprouts with Toasted Pistachios appetizer was outright delicious, along with our favorite; half shelled Oysters. The Pan seared Scallops and the Black pepper Duck Entrees with the locally sourced ingredients were delectable and very savory. A unique find was their eclectic wine list; we found a bottle of a Red Saint Emilion Bordeaux, which normally does not grace wine lists at local restaurants. That paired with the entrees very well and along with the great service, made for a wonderful evening.
The ambiance of the old world brick structure with the rich interior and location with plenty of parking, makes this a very warm and inviting place. Be it a date, or just an evening out with friends or family, this restaurant is a fun place to have a great meal.
The restaurant is beautiful, the service was phenomenal and the drinks were delicious. The food, however, is absolutely overrated. Incredibly overpriced for the quality, with not even pasta cooked correctly. And here's a $58 ribeye special...I could've bought a better cut of meat at Market Basket, cooked it myself and it would've been better. Disgraceful.
Ok, so hear me out...I was skeptical of a $22 burger, but it was really good. The fries stole the show though, so crispy on the outside and delicious potato inside.
The old fashioned was decent, not amazing but not horrible. The restaurant was full by the time I left and it had gotten pretty loud.
Overall I'd say it's a place to go on a nice date or for an occasion.
Fabulous dinner! Don’t make our mistake, get reservations! Luckily the bar was pretty open. Started off with the blood orange Brussel sprouts. Delicious! Our bartender suggested the caramelized sea scallops and the grilled pork chop and we went with that!! Sooo good. Finished the night off with the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake. Very rich! Overall, one of the best dinners we’ve had in a while ???? totally recommend The Foundry!
5 STAR ALL THE WAY!!
The menu is amazing, makes it difficult to choose what to order.
Excellent server, great food and drinks.
Great date night!!
