Fantastic food with friendly service. Not your bog standard pub grub, almost fine dining but not with a more relaxed atmosphere. Food was perfectly cooked and the flavours carefully balanced so as not to overpower each other. The scallops were fantastic and the dessert are amazing. Not the usual off the shelf rubbish. These were proper homemade affairs. There was a little wait between courses but to be honest we like it that way. The staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Decor was great and everywhere was spotless. Will definitely return.
Enjoyed lunch here, good atmosphere and staff in a nice building. They have a plant based menu too which is still noteworthy in the area.
Great food and lovely place went on a week night and the poor staff where run off their feet as it was quite busy.
Fantastic place to be inside, such amazing decor. Great selection of drinks, food is amazing, good size portions as well. They even have charger sockets at all the tables!
Didn't have food but the beer was lovely tasting, but hazey. A bit cold inside but I appreciated it's a big building.
Really, really nice place to meet for a drink at lunchtime, have a bite to eat and enjoy the best made coffee in town. Lunch menu was really good and tasted great. 4/5 for atmosphere purely because it was a bit cold. More adequate heating is needed.
Wonderful food the Scotch eggs and black pudding with a mild curry sauce was an absolute delight.
Then the ribeye steak one of the best I have eaten. With a mushroom sauce and the gigantic onion rings.
I am now very happy.
Staff excellent and I have thoroughly enjoyed my evening.
Excellent family meal. Recommend the steak and ale pie. Nice atmosphere. Restaurant quality freshly cooked food. Spotlessly clean. Good service. So nice to have somewhere special to go locally.
