Been wanting to try this place since it opened. Thought we would treat ourselves £16.80 for two cheese and ham baguettes a cookie and a pain au chocolate.
Was incredible disappointed. Baguettes were smothered in mustard didn’t know they came with mustard so didn’t eat. Pain au chocolate was stale and a slither of chocolate and the cookie wasn’t all that. Nicer cookies at Tescos.
Real shame. Such a waste of money for a meal we didn’t eat.
So excited to have a flower pot in my area! Staff were lovely and pastries were so good (especially the orange cinnamon bun). Very nice vibe all round, only down side is it can get quite busy as there’s not much seating however that’s not usually an issue.
Always greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome every time we visit. The staff have gotten to know us and always introduce us to new staff. It is a great addition to the area and a lovely treat to visit to break up wfh days. Huge dog fans and my dog is their biggest fan too, he canters up for the hill to pay them a visit pulling me in to see them !
Their baristas do a fabulous coffee and have worked on a ‘cat’ cream top in response to my daughter’s love of cats. They have a great community ethos and value getting to know their customers.
This place is popular and with good reason. Dog friendly and the staff are welcoming. Highly recommend the bread but the filled sandwiches and baguettes are also worth getting. Might as well get a coffee whilst you are then.
been in two or three times with people. Wouldnt call it a bakery myself, more like a costa. Coffee is too bitter for me here. Not many cakes, the cakes they do have are stale and expensive. I made the mistake of buying bread once and instantly regretted it cost over £3 and was super stale. They don't make sandwiches for you here. Hope you improve as i would come back and write a nice review.
The Coffee was cold when we got one to take away this morning and the staff are grumpy and talking amongst themselves rather than serving. The time before when we visited we waited ages for our drinks and the hot chocolate tasted like warm milk without and chocolate. Will not be coming again as can find much better coffee in nicer places.
Attended the Flour Pot Hangleton today (14th Jan), there were lots of items not available and I was served by a very grumpy young ma who very obviously did not want to be there!
Come on Flour pot you are better than this, you often run out of main lines on a weekend.
Also either train all your staff to be pleasant and act like they want to be there or change the staff!
Really lovely space, people are fab, hot chocolate is cracking. One morning, the manager gave us an extra banana bread slice - just because! Every time I've gone in they've made effort to make us feel welcome and have been so helpful. Cakes are delicious and we will without a doubt be regulars. Thank you flour pot for coming to Hangleton ! X
