So welcoming staff. A lady and a younger woman. Very very caring, asking if we needed anything else. Although we managed to get there at the busiest time of the day but they managed well. We did not get exactly what the menu said tho. The menu said one of sandwiches came with chili-mayo but instead we got some tartar sauce. We asked and got another sauce. It was better.
The atmosphere were exactly as expected.
The prices were not the same as we found online. But not super far off.
I really enjoyed The Florida Boy Bar and Grill - so much so that we changed our plans for the trip :) We'd originally been planning dinners out to various island spots, but after the first night and sunset on the beach at Lime Tree Bay (see my other review) we moving things around and went out for lunches in order to enjoy the sunset followed by drinks and dinner at the Bar.
Let's be clear: this is bar food in a great Keys bar atmosphere. It's not on the water, but it's steps away from the beach at the resort it's in the middle of.
The cheeseburger there is terrific - it actually really does taste flame grilled, and the fries are awesome. Big portions, solid pour at the bar, friendly staff, and indoor and outdoor seating. If you're staying at Lime Tree Bay, the Florida Boy may just be the answer to your question of what's for dinner: enjoy a slow sunset on the beach, and then walk 100 yards to the bar. Sorted.
A really pleasant place with a cosy outdoor sitting, plenty of fans to keep you cool, good food and quick service. Loved that we could smoke at the bar (I am very thankful to the guy in the reviews who complained about that and directed us to this lovely spot :) My husband enjoyed a nice ribeye and I had nachos with steak. Portions are enormous and prices reasonable. I cannot give 5 stars though as I only had one wish - no onions, as they give me migraine. What I got is a generous sprinkle of onions all over my nachos. Having to pick it out, made it very hard to enjoy this wonderful comfort food the way it is supposed to be enjoyed. However, all in all I recommend this lovely place with a good vibe for a quick bite or a drink.
Good American fare at very fair prices, kids loved the chicken fingers and foot long hotdog which was massive!
I had the Coconut crusted Mahi which was delicious and not overly sweet, comes paired with a Mango and bell pepper relish that was equally as good. I also tried the Mac N Cheese and Asparagus as sides. Both were solid choices. My wife had the baby back rib grilled cheese which was rich and packed with amazing flavor. Onion rings were crunchy and solid, nothing over the top there.
Overall if you're hungry and passing through the area it's definitely worth stopping for a good meal IMHO.

Amanda at the bar was great! Loved the open air patio and bar, service was good and so was the food! Recommend the grouper sticks and nachos. Great place to stop on the drive between keys as we were headed to key west.
Casual and cozy restaurant. My waitress Chandelier was friendly. The food portion was HUGE and sharable.
The portions are HUGE! We ordered the nachos with chicken and seafood tortellini. You would have thought we were ordering for 4-6 people! Great value. Jenna was a great waitress and extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Would highly recommend and return in the future.
The food here is actually very tasty, but all 3 of us received cold food. Not even a little warm. Who likes cold burgers or onion rings? Hopefully they can figure this out, because the service is top notch and the atmosphere is wonderful. This is not the first time we've had a cold food issue here...
