Best KPortal Reviews

Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. All very fresh, haddock was tasty and cooked perfectly. The chips were crispy and the smaller portions were a perfect size. Service was bespoke, according to our needs, polite and chatty. I would definitely recommend paying a visit to eat in or to take away. 5 stars all round.
I absolutely love proper, Yorkshire-cooked fish and chips. I wasn't planning to eat here, but I was passing and was drawn in...
1 had haddock, chips and mushy peas. They were delicious! Light, crispy batter on the fresh, flaky fish. Crispy chips with fluffy centres and unctuous mushy peas. Perfect.
Very satisfying!
Very friendly staff. Definitely recommended.
Superb quality fish and chips. Both the fish and chips were cooked to perfection in lovely beef dripping. This is a quality establishment that your more than happy to pay for. Highly recommend. Ps I am an ex fish and chip shop owner, so I know good fish and chips when I have them ????
Went here today and really enjoyed the food. The fish was thick, white and flaky, the chips were very nice with no grease whatsoever. The mushy peas were as good as I've had anywhere else.
The wait for the food was over 30 minutes but acceptable as a new girl was being trained. The staff were very polite and friendly. Would I go again? Yes of course I would. We had two very tasty meals, both filling, well cooked and good value for money.
Extraordinary good fish and chips !
Friendly staff, beautiful window art and very well prepared fish and chips, good portions too.
Well worth the treat when passing through settle, park in the free co-op car park across the road fish ???????? ????
Had a sitty-inner to refuel after the Three Peaks.
Genuinely one of the best chippys I’ve had - the batter on the fish was so light and crispy with some nice crispy ends. Perfect batter.
Tasty curry sauce, good chips.
Only thing that could be better was the bread (would like butter over margarine) and if the condiments were a bit better quality - homemade tartare maybe? The cheap tartare doesn’t go with the excellent fish.
Great service and lovely fish and chips. Nice seating indoors. Portions are quite small at £10 a portion, when they arrived I thought we might have ordered the smalls but the bill said otherwise. We eat a lot of fish and chips in Tyne and wear so maybe we are spoilt. Next time we are this way for fish and chips I think we'll try the one on the market square
We love this fish and chip shop. The batter is so light and yummy to eat. Service very good and friendly. Salad was so fresh. Good sized potions. Very handy for takeout aswell as just across from the car park .
