Best KPortal Reviews
Recommended by neighbours to try this country pub as now under new management.
We both had steaks which were cooked to perfection. Drinks very reasonably priced and meals.
Staff lovely especially the landlady.
We will definitely return.
We would normally go to another pub close by in Kilnet. But feel there meals aren't as good as they used to be.
Popped into the fighting cocks. What a lovely proper pub. Lovely hosts and very friendly atmosphere. Food van outside was Alfie’s Kitchen on the day. Superb quality and value food. Can’t wait to visit again thank you ☺️
The lovely owners Rob and Annie accommodated my family and I for a party of around 25 people. They provided a selection of good-quality cold food and catered well for various dietary requirements (GF/vegetarian/dairy free). Everyone had a lovely time! The atmosphere was amazing and I couldn’t fault the service.
Brilliant Pub, now it's under new Management - The landlord, Rob,
and his good lady keep some really nice Ales. Perfect for a trip out, and in lovely countryside. Lots of ambiance to the pub as well. It's a real gem and well deserving of it's high star rating.
Good food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly . Thoroughly recommend ????
Enjoyed a beautiful steak dinner, done to perfection, the chef certainly knows his stuff. A lovely warm welcome from the regulars and the new landlord and landlady were an absolute pleasure. Will definitely be back for more fine ales ????
Great little pub, cosy, warm and under new management. Lovely fresh food, good small menu of well cooked classics. Sunday roast was beautiful. Recommend the salt and vinegar battered fish. Good outside space, parking and good beers. Always a warm welcome.
The owners were very friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Beautiful decor and the food was lovely. Definitely coming back.
